Wouldn't call it a hair oil but it's an ok styling product

They should call this product a serum or something, I feel like calling it an oil is false. I got this "hair oil" in a gift set that I picked up on a whim, I've heard quite a few people raving about Ghost products, and I failed to actually look into the products beforehand. Needless to say, I was ...rather confused when I dispensed this "hair oil" into my palm expecting an oil, only to get a super silicone-y product. Now I don't think silicones are the devil! They can be very useful in hair products depending on the type of silicone and the formulation of the product. Their main benefits are adding shine, slip, and reducing frizz and this product does do that I guess. It's just not the product I was expecting it to be honestly, but it's not a bad product. I would make sure that if you use this product regularly, that you also use a clarifying shampoo regularly to prevent build up of the silicones on your strands. I have shoulder length, somewhat curly, somewhat wavy hair with fairly fine strands but a lot of them. It can be a struggle to keep my hair hydrated without weighting it down, cue my original excitement reading weightless hair oil on the packaging. I also live in the south, where even in the middle of winter the humidity is like 80-90%. I've used this several times now on damp hair after washing with the Ghost shampoo and conditioner and several more times with my regular products. My hair is soft and less frizzy using this compared to no product, but not more than other leave-in products I've used. I also find that the softness and shine washes out with the product, which makes me confident it's coming from the silicones not the Moringa seed oil or any of the oils in the ingredients moisturizing your hair. This makes it more of a styling product to me not a restoring treatment oil like packaging had me thinking. As far as the scent it's the same as the other Ghost products and it's not super overpowering coming from someone with a very sensitive nose. The scent of the Ghost products however, is exactly the same as the horse shampoo Mane 'N Tail I swear and I just don't really enjoy smelling like the cheap horse shampoo all the kids wash their ponies in. I'm sure some people really love the scent but it's not for me.
