I loved every single thing about this product. However, I feel that when they say that there's no heat damage to your hair that that is not correct there doesn't seem to be any proof of that. I'm pretty sure when you apply anything to your hair or scalp that is hot enough to burn you that it will mo...st certainly caused some level of heat damage, so I think that that is not OK to post on the packaging but anyone with hair who is looking for an item such as this would be mindful enough to know this already that they should always be wearing some kind of protectant or just be mindful about the heat levels. I've noticed that this hairdryer comes with a couple of different variations of attachments when you buy it I really love the attachments a lot. They are meant for all different hair types. My favorite attachments are the curlers, and the reason for this is because other products have tried to emulate the functionality that this product has magically managed to create in a way that is fully functional. You've probably seen other curling irons, and other things of that nature that say that it's self curling, this method of curling has been tried, and 1 billion different styles and ways and for me personally I think that they all have failed at this attempted, self curling idea all except for this product the execution was rather remarkable seeing as it actually works, and I don't mind putting in a little extra effort when it comes to self curling ideas as long as it's not the level of effort that it would take to just take a curling iron and do it the manual way which seems to be all that is on the market really outside of this product. Not only did shark create a blow dryer that uses air technology to style your hair, which includes this great curling iron, but the self curling iron attachment that you use uses air technology to wrap your hair all by itself around the rod of the curler. Does this sound unreal? I thought so too until I tried it! It really is like that folks! This whole product idea and execution is so remarkably amazing that they deserve a standing ovation for achieving this, I feel like! I think that the curling attachment is hyper, functional, considering how it works and the fact that you don't have to wrap manually around a rod yourself using either that clip on the curler or your hand around a wand. This thing will grab your hair gently, of course, and as you wiggle it up your hair, it will curl that all the way around that right as you go up all by itself, you do not have to even move your wrist which is just amazing! I will say that it does kind of expect you to use smaller chunks of hair to achieve success with this tool which is fine. It just means a little more mindful of time management when you're doing your hair say, for an event. I really wish that I could complain about how the product packaging mentions to part your hair in these chunks that are small and like to be careful about like the possibility of surrounding hair, catching onto the rod and curling with it, which would be weird. It wouldn't hurt anything but it would just make your curls weird, but I can't complain about that. The honest to god truth is, it doesn't really give me an issue in that area, and even if it did like such a small thing that can be easily mitigated. As someone with a very thick and difficult to curl hair, I have always had trouble using curling wand of any kind or any kind of curling tool, because my hair just won't hold the curl at all, I mean, it does for a second and then it doesn't, even when I use product so I was discouraged at first glance, but even these curly ones will take my hair, and it will apply an effective curl! I recommend using product where necessary, because that is important and following like all your normal pre-and post curling ideas and tips and tricks and things alongside this, but it is incredible that air technology I want to tone is the thing that is capable of curling my hair, especially because it's not even done that when applied to direct heat on a hot rod of a curler. Once again, I'm just gonna say that it is remarkable. I mean that it is crazy amazing! The diffuser is wonderful too in that it has a switchable setting meant specifically for adjusting based on length of hair which is a beautiful feature for me as I have long thick hair myself. The round brush is great too for the smoothing and defrizzing needs you have even without the need for antifrizz products! The craftsmanship is gorgeous on this air styler making it feel worth the money spent all by itself, and the optional pivot is such a great addition for the diffuser for me personally considering the size of this air styler when positioned upwards in its natural position. The only downside that I feel is worth a one-hundred percent mention is this…this air styler…is the loudest blow dryer styling tool you are ever going to know. It is remarkably loud even in the lowest air output setting and it's not good at all. It lets off a sound when it is blowing that sounds of course similar to a normal blow dryer except more like a jet plane engine with a very noticeable sort of high sounding whine in the backdrop of the blowing it's pretty terrible and most certainly not at all for those of us who live in any apartment complex with neighbors who are sensitive to noises when you have an early or late night job and want to use this to prep for work at odd hours. This won't be acceptable in those settings. I still give this five stars all around regardless of the noise it puts off though. Everything else is A+. Do buy this!
