Most Helpful Positive Review Love!!! I bought this based off reviews, and I'm so glad I did! It really does sink into your skin leaving more of a moisturized feeling rather than greasy. Also, I have pretty sensitive skin so I was a bit worried this would break me out, but so far (after using a few weeks) I haven't experienced anything abnormal.
The product itself is really runny so be careful when opening the tube.
Finally, I would suggest keeping this as far away from your eyes as possible. My eyes water every now and then, and I think somehow it caused the lotion to get in my eye. It burned so much I had to take off all my makeup immediately and wash my face. Other than that, it's a great lotion and I highly recommend!
Most Helpful Critical Review There should be a negative five star option. This product is legit caca. If you want to look like a cartoon u should buy it. I had bought this product at Ulta and wanted to use it for the first time. I have sensitive sun damaged skin, so I wanted to protect it from it rays. I was gonna be in the sun the next day so I bought it. The next morning I had evenly applied it for my long sunny day ahead.Throughout the day I had noticed that my skin kept getting tighter and flushed. I thought that I hadn't put enough sunscreen on and maybe I ended up getting sun burned. When I got home I just decided to give my skin a break and cleanse it off and leave it alone. The first thing I did was use my AMAZING micellar water that I have used for years. I knew something wasnt right when water made my face BURN. I kept telling myself that I was sunburned. I had only been out in the sun for a couple of hours in 70° heat. How could it be sunburn? So then I decided that my skin was just irritated and I decided to take a Benadryl before I went to bed...I woke up at 5 in the morning in PAIN. When I open my eyes I couldn't see clearly. I wiped them thinking maybe I had I boogers but when I stuck my finger on my eye, it sunk in like a well full of water. It was pitch black, my face was burning, and my eye was flowing like an underground busted water pipe. well folks the pictures say it all...I got up to look in the mirror and my face... looked...like...THAT. My eyes were swollen especially the right one. The whole right side of my face was filled with fluid. my skin burned like the pits of h e double hockey sticks. Needless to say I didn't go to school this day. I went to the er and they gave me a cup of liquid steroids to drink to get my body to stop attacking my face. BECAUSE WHATEVER T F IS IN IT IS TOXIC!!! anyways I had to be on oral steroids for a week all because of sum bum sunscreen. Thank you that is all

Even though it kind of smells like glue, in my opinion, I would not mind it if it absorbed better into my skin. I can taste it after applying it even if I don't spread it around my mouth. It doesn't leave a white cast but does feel chalky on my face and finger tips.

Performs well under my Nars foundation & that's all I care about. Does not find its way into my eyes and lips the way la roche milk does. I will be purchasing again once I'm out. It does not roll, does not turn white, it does what it needs to do. Skin feels smooth once it is on
Good for the price! 4

I wanted something specifically for my face when I am hiking and this works well. I am fair skinned and burn easily. I reapply this many times when I'm out for extended periods of time, and I have not burned using this. I almost always also wear a hat, however. I think this is good for the price and doesn't dry my skin out or cause breakouts
Stings eyes when washing 2

The sunscreen sits comfortably on the face and doesn't leave a cast or anything but when I wash it off with a gentle face wash it stings the skin under my eyes. Not pleasant.

I LOVE this sunscreen! It has been one of the best ones I've ever used. I have oily skin, so it's a plus that I can apply it under my makeup & it does not leave me a greasy feeling. It goes well with my skincare routine. It it a little bit runny & a little goes a long way.
Horrible 1

Oh my gosh I know this sounds dramatic but I wish I could give it negative stars. I've been using this stuff for two days and now I have a rash all over my face and neck. Maybe it reacted weird with my moisturizer, and if that they should put warnings on chemicals that you shouldn't combine it with. I use the cerave nighttime ultra lightweight moisturizer and have been for about the past year. The first day I started using this sunscreen I was fine, but now my face and neck is covered in little itchy red bumps. I've never had acne or anything, I'm actually known for my great skin. So, if you see this review, DO NOT BUY THIS!!!

It's a solid, affordable sunscreen. If you have sensitive skin, it might burn, and if it gets in your eyes, it stings so bad. It does look kinda greasy on its own, but it looks fine under makeup and doesn't cause separation or anything.
Feels greasy and burns eyes 2
Scarlet from Undisclosed
I really wanted to like this sunscreen. It is lightweight and has no white cast, so I can give it that. However, it feels very greasy on the skin, which is surprising considering it is oil-free. It left my face shiny for hours, and it never felt like it fully absorbed. Works badly under makeup, my concealer wouldn‚'t stay in place when applied over this sunscreen. But the worst part was how badly it stung my eyes. If just a trace got into my eyes, they would be foggy, watery, and stinging for *hours* which led me to not want to use around the eye area (even though the eye area needs protection, too). I‚'ve stopped using it for these reasons. On the hunt for a better sunscreen once again :/
Good, but... 3

Well, overall it was great not too oily for my combo skin, however I noticed over time this sunscreen kept burning my eyes. I dont know if its because its a chemical sunscreen but this is the only product ive had trouble with around my eyes so now i use just mineral!
one of the best sunscreens under makeup 5
abby from texas
i have super oily skin and i live in texas (100°F all the time) so it's already difficult to wear makeup without it sliding away and separating but sunscreen always makes it 10x worse. ive had the least problems with this one. under makeup, it looks like i'm not even wearing sunscreen. but make sure you're careful around the eyes and you wash your hands after putting it on, this stuff BURNS if it gets in your eyes and it takes forever for that feeling to go away.
will peel 3

its not a bad sunscreen but if you plan on wearing makeup on top, it will peel.

The BEST face sunscreen, no oily shine 5
TC53 from Colorado
I don't wear foundation, so I like a sunscreen that is more matte for a natural face, this is the one! I was really surprised by the negative comments, one being eye sting. The only time I have had an issue with that is from actual eye cream migrating. Also the formula is not thick, it rubs in great.

They say you don't need suntan lotion being black. That's not true. The skin still ages at a normal pace. This lotion slows the process & keeps my skin moist. In love !
Good but burns eyes 2

this product is great on my face and doesn‚'t break me out, but I can‚'t put it around my eyes because it burns so bad. I use the 30 spf sun stick around my eyes it stays out because it‚'s waxy
No white cast 5
K Black from Atlanta, GA
I love this sunscreen. There is no white cast, and it dries matte. I have oily skin, and this works perfectly for me.
A lot of reviews speak of burning eyes which I haven't experienced but are you supposed to apply this product near your eyes? I don't think so. There are sunscreens specific for the eye area, but this isn't one of them.

I have had a great experience using this sunscreen. I have noticed an improvement in my skins health with regular use. My skin is moisturized all day. I have less sun spots or dark spots on my face and neck. I have dry skin, eczema, some allergies, hormonal cystic acne, and overall sensitive skin and I have very fair skin. So I have to be very picky about what I use on my skin and I really want to avoid sun burns and skin damage. Despite all of this, the Sun Bum face spf 50 has been meeting all of my needs in a face sunscreen. It occasionally can sting my eyes, not bad enough to be a deal breaker for me considering all the ways that it works so well for me. I would recommend to a friend for sure.

No white cast but it burns my eyes 3

This sunscreen has a nice texture and doesn't leave a white cast for me, but after a little it burns my eyes a lot and my eyes get watering
Stings Eyes 1
Hailee from Florida
I wore this sunscreen while out in the hot FL sun running my errands. Like one does, I applied the sunscreen all over my face including my eye area and it did not take long till my eyes were watering to the point it looked like I was crying. This sunscreen made my eyes so uncomfortable I tried rinsing/wiping it off but the stinging sensation was still there even a few hours after application.
Needless to say I will not continue to use this product and I will not be repurchasing.
Too thick. Takes to long to rub in. Leaves white residue 2

My husband and I both tried this and it made our faces burn, especially around the eyes. It had a chemical smell that was so overwhelming and gross.

I've been using it for years, every day. I have sensitive, oily, and acne prone skin. this face lotion doesn't make me breakout & my skin doesn't look oily. I wish they'd make an spf 30 version because I want some sun tan on my face.
