Doesn't work

I like that way the product smells, it leaves your skin feeling tingly and fresh. However, I've used this product for 3 months and there has been no improvement. My acne has actually gotten worse. A lot of small bumps have spread on my forehead and chin causing my skin to look and feel very textured...

Worked great for a white but eventually destroyed my barrier and caused large, red, inflamed cystic acne that would ooze and get more inflamed the more i used it. Stopped using this and switched to curology's gentle cleanser and moisturizer and now my skin is so much calmer because my barrier is finally getting a break!

You need to TRY THIS!!

I have combination skin, and acne that affects all regions of my face. Four weeks in, my acne is cleared and I can actually see my freckles instead of acne. Even the little sebaceous glands on my nose are shrinking. LaRoche Posay's Effaclar cleanser appears unassuming, but it's VERY effective!! I've tried dermatologist prescribed treatments, consumer commercial treatments, every brand at "insert other retailer here" that claims to treat acne, whether it's chemical or plant-derived natural treatments, I tried it. If you're looking for perfumey, soft girl vibes, all the fluff, you won't find it here. You'll find a simple but effective acne treatment cleanser. I pair this with LaRoche Posay's daily UV moisturizer and occasionally, the oil based cleanser in the morning if I wake up with dry skin, but otherwise this is it. Simple, effective. You should at least try this, and my biggest tip for anyone looking for an answer to their acne: don't mix a bunch of different products. Some ingredients negate others, some don't react well together. Give a product a trial for about 3-4 weeks, and if it doesn't work, try the next one.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Title says it all. I have only been using it once a day since it is a tad bit drying. However, I am noticing that I'm breaking out less and the break outs I do have are shirinking. Just what my routine needed!
