Good, clean primer.
I was hesitant to purchase this due to all the negative reviews,but I am glad I did. I am getting close to my 40's and my very oil skin is changing to combo where I get very dry around my cheek and oily on my Tzone. This primer softens and blurs while being breathable. If you put more than what is needed it can peel. I have yet to try it with the new Double wear foundation but it went well under the OG Formula.

I think I've bought every primer there is, all promising but not delivering. Not even one came close to Double Wear Smooth & Blur. I had a coworker say my skin looked like glass! You don't need to use a lot of the product. I use it mainly on my T zone area.

Hear me out. This primer is great for oily skin, BUT you must use it as advised—on well-moisturized skin. I'm 47 and have loved EL DoubleWear foundation for years. However, my skin has changed and become drier and my winter skin no longer looks good with the DW foundation, even when I tried my favorite "hack" of mixing in a drop or two of EL Advanced Night Repair serum. So I had to pivot. I cannot use foundation with any oil in it, so sadly other EL foundations were out for me (I still miss Lucidity foundation!). However, I tried the EL Futurist Skincealer (shades N1 and N2) and discovered a new makeup routine that I love! I wash and air dry my face, then I apply EL Advanced Night Repair all over, then EL ANR Eye Lift and Sculpt, then LOTS of moisturizer that I let soak into my skin (not EL bc I need oil-free). Once my skin absorbs most of the moisturizer, I take a pea-sized amount of this Double Wear Primer and apply a thin layer on any areas where I want to minimize my pores and don't want to get shiny—nose, pores either side of nose, chin, and center of forehead. Next I apply dots of the Futurist Skincealer all over, then add a drop of ANR as I blend it out. This routine gives me good coverage, doesn't highlight lines, and doesn't leave my skin looking dry or oily - just healthy! It's all in how you use it! I would not apply to my entire face.
