Turns face into oil slick
Not sure why this foundation is so different from the one in the glass bottle, but this foundation makes my face look absolutely disgusting after a couple hours. Oil splotches everywhere! It marbilizes on my nose especially and looks gross. Thier other foundation does not do this.

I was looking forward to trying this.I selected the product that looked like it would be the best match for my skin. Unfortunately, it looks like a very light tinted mask and I will not be able to use. Have never had a problem with matching any other makeup. Disappointed to have wasted the money thinking I was getting a product that would be worth it. I do not like to write a negative review, but too pricey to end up throwing away and maybe this will help someone from making the mistake I did. I suggest trying a sample from the store before purchasing.

I've been using this foundation for 20 years. They seem to have discontinued my color, creamy vanilla. Now I don't have a color that looks good on my skin. It would be nice if they told you what color to substituted for.
Old double wear replacement
Depressed as i was looking for an alternative for the old double wear formula since the new formula sucks, i decided to give this a try. It is FULL coverage. What i didnt expect was it to be so light and almost serum like. It is not thick or cakey. It blends amazing. It only takes a small drop on each cheek to blend out and cover my entire face completely. It dries down so soft and like a real life filter. I did notice it settled into my lines around my mouth but found that if i quickly used some setting powder with a puff in that area, it wouldnt crease. I still have a bottle of the old double wear and i actualky prefer this! I work 12-18 hour shifts. By the end of the shift i can see a little breakup but its way longer lasting than the double wear. Plus im not as oily. This is my new holy grail!
Amazing Product
This is an amazing product. It is not heavy. Lasts a long, long time & does not come off with perspiration. It covers my rosacea & scars from a bad fall last year. Much better than the "new" Double Wear. Estee Lauder, please DO NOT quit making this product. And please, become a cruelty free company across the board & SUPPORT NO animal testing! PLEASE.

To cover rosacea and scarring I've used L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte in Shell Beige 102, and Lancome Dual Finish Foundation Powder in 220 Buff II (Cool). They're no longer providing enough coverage. Is the Estee Lauder Double Wear Max Cover Camouflage foundation more opaque than those two and, if so, which shade would be the closest match to the ones I listed. Thank you.

Is this waterproof on its own, and if not, would it be waterproof if I used setting powder? Also would it smudge or transfer? And could I put sunscreen over it?

The coverage is full and there is no need to set this Foundation with a Powder. If you like to apply Powder, a loose formula like Estee Lauder Sheer Flattery Loose Powder, would be best. The Foundation is longwearing but not transfer-resistant. If you want to add additional sunscreen, we recommend applying the sunscreen under the Foundation rather than over it.Was this answer helpful to you
