For a natural look: Trace the lip line to create enhanced shape and definition. Use lip brush to soften and blend edges. Follow with lipstick, if desired. For a full, pouty look: Outline lips just over your natural lip line then thoroughly pencil-in lips. Use lip brush to layer on lipstick.
To sharpen: Because of the oil- infused formula, it's important to use a clean pencil sharpener with a sharp blade. Gently twist the pencil through the sharpener to create a defined point. After use, clean sharpener with a cotton swab to remove all excess product so it is ready for the next time.

Sick of wasting money
While I love the shade and have purchased many times, I'm extremely disappointed with the quality of the pencil. Pencil is difficult to sharpen and breaks easily, wasting a very expensive item. I have tried multiple, very costly sharpeners with no success. Seems each time I order it gets worse. Won'...

I got one of these as part of GWP when I purchased a lipstick. The second time I sharpened it, the entire piece of color lead came out of the pencil. Im glad I didn't spend money on this! I tried to contact customer service to let them know and was kept on hold waiting for an agent for over 20 minutes and so I got tired of waiting and hung up. Very disappointing!
Beautiful color and stays in place well
This is so beautiful but I hate to order again because I threw away most of it. I had only one use and would need to sharpen because the point broke. Not sure if the cap to protect it isn't fitting correctly.

I agree, this lip liner pencil is not anywhere as good as the automatic lipliner duo that you used to carry. I used the color Fig. I have been wearing Estee Lauder since my mother purchased Estee Lauder makeup, and perfume, Beautiful, for me at age 15. I am now 77, but I am looking at other suppliers for a lip pencil. I see a lot of complaints, please give us something better than this double wear lip liner pencil.

I have used Estée Lauder's automatic lip liner for decades. I love it. This pencil is horrible in comparison. Please bring the automatic one back !!!!!!!!!!

I've been using these pencils for the last several years, and I've noticed a big change in the quality recently. The last one is almost impossible to sharpen. I bought a new sharpener, (both from Estee Lauder) and they are miserable sharpeners. I do wish they would go back to the automatic pencil.
