For a natural look: Trace the lip line to create enhanced shape and definition. Use lip brush to soften and blend edges. Follow with lipstick, if desired. For a full, pouty look: Outline lips just over your natural lip line then thoroughly pencil-in lips. Use lip brush to layer on lipstick.
To sharpen: Because of the oil- infused formula, it's important to use a clean pencil sharpener with a sharp blade. Gently twist the pencil through the sharpener to create a defined point. After use, clean sharpener with a cotton swab to remove all excess product so it is ready for the next time.

Sick of wasting money
While I love the shade and have purchased many times, I'm extremely disappointed with the quality of the pencil. Pencil is difficult to sharpen and breaks easily, wasting a very expensive item. I have tried multiple, very costly sharpeners with no success. Seems each time I order it gets worse. Won'...

I used to love the older lip liner with easy-to-use refills. (and the same with eyebrow pencil.) These newer versions are not the same - difficult to sharpen and frustrating to use. Won't purchase again. Just when we are loyal to a product because we love it, it disappears!
Long wearing Lip Liner
Great lip liner! Lasts all day :)
Amazing lip liner!
I love this lip liner. It is a great formula that goes on creamy then sets down and doesn't budge for hours, even after eating or drinking. However I don't recommend using the Estée Lauder sharpener it clogs for some reason - the NARS or Glossier sharpener works way better.

I am very disappointed. It barely lasted 2 hrs let alone 24hrs. My routine lipliner that is less than half the price beats this hands down. It is more than I would spend on lipliner so I had high hopes.

I love this pencil. I have several different shades, that I use for different occasions. By using this pencil after applying my foundation, I am able to clearly define my lips. Sometimes I use two colors and blend them for the effect I am looking for.
