Apply to wet hair. Massage into a rich lather. Rinse and follow with preferred Virtue conditioner or Restorative Treatment Mask. Use 2 to 3 times per week for optimal results, alternating with your current Virtue shampoo.
TIPS: To maintain bright and shiny color, it's important to keep the cuticle flat so light can pass through the hair. - Official Answer By Virtue - Brand EngageHi, this is a uniquely formulated solution to brassiness. The key is to use it 2-3 times a week to reduce brassiness. Whether you have blonde, strawberry, brunette, or silver/white hair, this will brighten your tone with regular use. That said, our entire line-up, including our De-brassing shampoo, is free of synthetic colors/dyes. Therefore, it works a little differently than a tinted shampoo. This helps eliminate brassiness caused by the environment. But it doesn't work like a typical purple or tinted shampoo, as it isn't leaving a color deposit behind. Therefore, if you're offsetting an orange tone from highlights or dye, you may still want to have a colorist formulate a toner for that. If you simply want your highlights or natural hair tone to stay true to the color you left the salon with or it's natural vibrancy, this is perfect for that.Was this answer helpful to you

I really love my Virtue products. The curly conditioner and the thickening shampoo combination do wonders for my curly, baby-fine, thinning, graying hair. I also love their volumizing primer before I use my diffuser. When I saw they had a de-brassing shampoo, I was very excited. Unfortunately, this shampoo was terrible for my hair. It made my color dull, both my dark brown hair and my graying hair. It made my hair feel like straw and frizzy. I was using Amika Purple Shampoo and have happily gone back to it. Though I do stand by my experience with my other virtue products.
