Most Helpful Positive Review YESSSSSSSSSSSSS
I have been using this brand for about a year now, so I am SO EXCITED this is at Ulta (I just bought some and I'm bummed I didn't see this was on Ulta, missed out on those points...next time though!) I use the Light Pink and I love it so much. It's best to apply it through your hair like a normal dye to make sure the hair is completely saturated and you get an even coverage, but it's really worth it. It takes about 3-4 washes for it to come out completely. I apply it on bleached hair (about a level 8-10) This stuff also smells amazing and makes my hair feel silky smooth after I use it.
I have also used the purple and that one, for some reason, takes MONTHS to completely come out, so be aware. It might just be it clings to my hair more in some places, but I don't have that issue with the pink or other hair dyes I have used in the past. The purple does fade to a nice silverish color, but I also noticed it left a blue/green SLIGHT tint to my hair after it fully washed out.
I have an attached image of the Light Pink and Purple. Light Pink is after 1 application, and the Purple is one application but with I believe 1 one wash before the photo was taken.
Most Helpful Critical Review Silver Blue Is Not Good
I got this in Silver Blue in the hopes of maintaining my artificial grey, since it fades fast no matter what. First, I expected the bottle to be bigger, since it's supposedly 12 oz. I know there's a volume difference between cylinders and cubes because of the angles but it still feels like a ripoff to pay this much for such a small bottle. Second, it smells DISGUSTING. This the same kind of scent as "shower fresh" deodorant. I'm pretty sure they were going for "clean" but it smells like the laundry aisle in a grocery store or that cheap shampoo they use at walk-in salons and I hate it. Third, it doesn't work. The bottle says the color builds with repeated washes and it shows a pic of 1 wash vs more, but I saw no color difference and I tried it multiple times in a row. The color out of the bottle is a dark grey, obviously very diluted and not much blue tone, especially compared to other temp greys like Manic Panic Blue Steel (result: neutral grey, fades fast, no staining) or Ion Shark Blue (result: smoky blue grey, stains hair very pale pastel blue). This doesn't stain your hands if you use it without gloves, but that means it isn't very pigmented and it doesn't stick well to wet hair. It might work better on dry hair if you leave it for like an hour or 2, but then it's just another temp dye and it's way too overpriced if that's all it is. The non-pastels probably work better, but you need processed hair for them to stick and you need a lighter starting base for lighter colors (examples: Purple will not make brown hair bright purple, Rose Gold will not make orange hair pink). If you want to dye your hair at home, learn some color theory. :)

Michelle from Washington DC
I had bleached my hair and it was very damaged. I decided to give my hair a break by going back to my darker roots. I didn't want to use anything too strong or damaging so I tried this Keracolor product in onyx. It was great! The shampoo/dye combination left my hair soft, shiny and with great dark color. I will definitely buy this again.
Extremely Upset... that I didn't buy it BIGGER.
Gecko from nunya
I only used this once and I've already gotten a lot of compliments from people, works even better and is more noticeable than the drugstore dye I tried using last week. I use the ROSE GOLD one, so the color isnt super intense, but its extremely near how I want it. My only issue was not applying enough to the length of my thick hair, so I'll do that in round 2, but that was the only problem I had. Overall I highly recomend, and go ahead and get yourself the liter size because it's more practical and you already know its gonna work ~ ;)

I have been using this product for over 3 years now. I was first introduced to it by a hair stylist and would pay to get colors put in my hair. Now, I just get blonde, caramel, and lighter highlights from my current stylist and just change the color conditioner I buy! It saves so much money and I can change my color at the drop of a hat! I have used red, purple, merlot, and rose gold. I am a brunette but as stated I get highlights first. This will not work on dark hair.
Sydni from Pennsylvania
I swear by this product. It keeps my red/purple toned hair vibrant, soft and shiny!
Brunettes Beware: Some Shades don't work.
JVS21 from NYC
Brunettes et al. beware. This did not work to lighten my dark brown hair with the honey shade. I did not know this until receiving the product and being able to read the label. It's more of a gloss in my case. However, I do like this as a cleansing condtioner and was looking to replace a drugstore cleansing balm that's hard to find. This does clean the hair well and remove buildup without stripping so I'm using it for that.
NOT for Brunettes
Impatient from Colorado Springs, CO
My job unfortunately does not allow me to dye my hair abnormal hair colors. (which nowadays what's abnormal!?) I've been curious about a rose gold tint conditioner as I knew it wouldn't be overly dramatic and with my hair being curly, dry and extremely damaged I thought I would try this for the added effect of it being a leave in conditioner. Stupid me didn't realize this is NOT for brunettes, I didn't realize this till I read the instructions stuck to the label after I bought it and brought it home -.- I decided to try it anyway and surprise surprise my hair is too dark to show any rose gold tint however it definitely made my hair super soft!
FAKE RED HEADS. THIS IS A MUST.
Laney from North Dakota
I have been coloring my hair red so long that people think it's my natural color. I LOVE my red hair but I always have issues keeping the color vibrant and shiny like the day I got it colored! This stuff is what I needed! Every few weeks I put this onto my hair when it's dry, let it soak and it makes it look like I just walked out of the salon. No joke! Then a couple times a week I use the copper Clenditioner instead of my normal conditioner and it works beautifully! My hair is so soft after using and it smells good! Worth every single penny!!
Honey color helped fill in my faded highlights
KH from Ohio
I wanted to make the difference between my roots and old growing-out highlights less noticeable but didn't want to add permanent color. I read so many reviews of this and other similar products, and was nervous to use it, so wanted to share my experience! I've used it twice so far and it did exactly what I wanted.
My natural color is dark blonde that tends golden/reddish, not ashy. I have a few inches of new growth and several inches of old highlights that were so faded they were kind of white, really didn't have any color left at all. This added a really pretty golden color back into the highlights area, and a tinge of gold to the new growth. I still have highlights and darker new growth, but now it all has a golden tint and blends better together in a way that looks purposeful! The gold tinge on my roots does wash out more quickly, but so far the color in the highlights has stayed through a few washes. I'm very happy with the results and will keep using for a while as my highlights keep growing out.
I used this more like a deep conditioner–washed my hair, divided into a few sections, worked the product into each section with my hands (no gloves because it's so subtle it didn't stain my hands), combed through, put on a shower cap, and left it for 40 minutes. Rinsed out and styled as usual. The scent is okay, not delightful but I don't mind it and it goes away pretty quickly once my hair is dry.
It's a no

Followed instructions to a T. Dried out my hair and provided no color at all
Red is great. Black is green.
Upset from Beckley wv
The red is awesome and lasts about 4 washes. Not 15-20. The onyx is actually dark green. Not just on hair, but also skin. It did not work at all on the roots of my hair (red) after 2 tries.
Gingie from Ok
I got the copper and used it on my bleach blonde hair. It looks way more orange than I thought it would and didn't effect my dirty blonde roots at all. It was fun to play with and since I'm getting my hair dyed ginger soon I'll use it as a keep-up in between salon visits. My hair feels really soft but really wished my roots would have picked it up. I used it on dry hair and kept it on for 45 minutes.
Works for brown hair!

My hair is very red after wash 4-5 and it's so easy to keep up!
KDawn from Boca Raton, FL
I had never even heard of this stuff until I went into Ulta and just thought I would give it a shot because after a year of transitioning my hair I was still finding that ugly yellow brass tone in my hair. I WILL TELL YOU LADIES THAT IF YOU USE THIS RIGHT IT 100% WORKS AND IM RATHER DISAPPOINTED WITH ALL THE WOMEN SAYING IT DOESN'T. First off it typically works the best after you bleach it (which I use Lime Crime). I then put this over my hair for 40mins and it's that beautiful white I love!!! Gorgeous!!!!
Oh yes. I had the pink one. Now im dark purple. It's perfect

I use the product one a week and only wash and condition in cool water
Lexie from California
This is hands down the worst color "clenditioner" I've ever used. I purchased the red and it pushed all the color out of my hair and turned my ends into a lavender and killed the test of my color. And as far as conditioning goes it's mediocre at best. I have never had this happen before and I've had my hair every color.
Hailey from Virginia
The pump won't open/function properly. I don't even wa to use it at this point.
Amber from Fort Smith, At
I have red hair and I got the merlot clenditioner. All I have red is that this product is better on blondes. They are wrong. I had never dyed my hair myself before so I was scared. I got home and just went to town on my head. It took about three washes with this color, but it is so beautiful and vibrant. I did it with dry hair. The color mixing with my red hair that's got a lot of copper in it, it made it look redder with a pink and purple hue. My hair is so soft it's unbelievable. All those saying this product didn't work, try again, my first time was a fail, I just redid it the next day. Watch videos on YouTube to learn how to do it.
Best color maintenance product

I use this product every time I condition my hair to maintain the color and it keeps it super soft. My hair stylist recommended the product and I've been absolutely obsessed and you it's worth the money!

I found this product on tiktok and knew i had to try it. i got my hair done a little over a month ago. i was blonde and went back to my natural brown color. unfortunately after one wash after the salon, my hair faded out to a light brown (which wasn't what i asked for). after searching i decided to try keracolor in the shade espresso and i'm so happy that i did! i also bought shade mocha but it was too close to what my hair already looked like so i returned. i'm so glad i stuck with espresso. it was so easy to apply. i sectioned hair and used gloves (it will leave hands dark brown if not) and let sit for 5 minutes on my dry hair. i have no complaints! truly wonderful.
Love it, it works!

First time ysing it and works very well
karillas from hayward, CA
i use this product after my regular shampoo and i leave it in like the description says, anywhere from 3-20 minutes. in mid february i bleached my whole brunette hair and went full ginger. my hair faded significantly by march and turned into a yellow-orange hue by may. my hair girl bought me this product after we did my touch up and it is a game changer. more than 3 months later and i barely went in for a root touch up and my hair was still VERY orange. roots grew out brown of course but the intensity of the copper lasting this long is all thanks to this product right here. on my second bottle and purchased another color for my lemon yellow front pieces.
i have curly hair so i only wash 1-2 times a week with cold water. my hair was definitely dry after taking on all that bleach but my curls stayed strong and this product always made my hair feel soft again in the shower.
Saved me from almost a years worth of $$$ in toners!!
Alisha from New York, NY
I bought this initially after black hair, that was lifted 2-3 shades lighter started picking up brassiness and orange tones pretty quickly after my salon visit. Instead of spending another $75 in toner, a helpful Ulta Associate recommended this for a gentle and effective color boost. This product was life changing! My hair now looks salon fresh ALL the time. I use mine every 2-3 weeks, its hydrating enough that I don't feel like I did any color damage to my hair (opposite in fact)- I chose the black neutral, and I leave it for about 10 mins. When I replenish I might do the dark brown instead- but even with the Black Neutral it adds neutral darker tones, and removes all the brassiness quickly from my hair. 10/10 would reccomend for anyone who tones their hair often and wants to save some $$!
Not conditioning at all. Leaves weird color deposits.
SarahGeeeee from North Carolina
This stuff is terrible. It left my hair needing a deep conditioning! Feels like straw. Left weird copper splotches in random places. It would not smooth into hair evenly. Will be returning it.
Pretty color- but not much coverage
Sam from Atlanta, GA
I followed the directions and although the color my hair turned was pretty, and did wash out quickly. The problem was although I saturated my whole head of hair, only a few pieces in the front actually took the color. I still will use it but you would think if you put it all over your head it would have colored more than a few pieces. For reference, I have highlighted blonde hair.

I comb product onto dry hair, starting on tips of my hair to create an ombré effect
I leave product on while I shower. Then I shampoo just the crown of my hair and then rinse out both products at the same time. I also use a wet brush in the shower to detangle. This helps with retaining natural wave for my "unicorn" hair. Which my grandkids just love.
