This is the most apt name of a skincare product I've ever used. If clouds were a cream, they'd be PÜR Beauty Cloud Cream Gel-to-Water Hydrating Essence Moisturizer. Longer name than cumulus, but this has what clouds have. An abundance of moisture.  I haven't enjoyed using gel moisturizers in the pas...t. They either laid on top of my skin and felt sticky, or didn't give me the balanced moisture I needed. This is the best of it's kind. Its light texture may trick you into thinking it's a lightweight product in more ways than one. I was delighted and surprised with the power of this formula. If I blind-tested this and was told it contained retinol and lactic acid, I would be a bit skeptical. Retinol is widely considered a do-it-all skincare ingredient, but it can be highly precarious and needs to be stabilized to provide any real benefit. The retinol here is encapsulated, which means that the active ingredient has been enclosed in a protective "armor" which allows it to better absorb into the skin, penetrating the deeper layers of skin before going to work. Brilliant! And I found it to not only be non-irritating, it was comforting on my sensitive skin, leaving it plumper and well hydrated. It also contains lactic acid which is one of the best daily-use eexfoliators for those with sensitive skin (me) and for those who have never exfoliated with an AHA before. Lactic acid is well chosen for this particular product as it has benefits that most of the other AHAs do not have such as boosting hydration, and stimulating collagen growth, and improving skin discoloration. Along with Ceramides & Shea butter, (I've rarely found a product that can successfully pair exfoliators and shea butter!) this is a power-packed formulation that can be used in almost anyone's skincare regimen. As if all of the aforementioned benefits weren't enough, it an outstanding primer for makeup!  As an esthetician, this would be a must-have in my lineup for facial treatments and the price point is incredible. **This review was created through an educational promotional event hosted between the brand and beauty experts.**
