Most Helpful Positive Review Works best as a pre-cleanse! Unless you have very dry skin, you should use this as a double/pre-cleanse. I have combination/sensitive skin with pore congestion on/around my nose. I use this as a pre-cleanse to help remove the top layer of my daily grime/oil before using my cleanser.
I leave this cleansing oil on for 3-5 minutes to let it really work and rinse with lukewarm water. I follow with my preferred cleanser and a generous spritz of the Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Adaptogens, and Coconut Water.
I think a lot of individuals expect things to work immediately. Yet it takes time for skin to adjust to products, depending. Everyone's skin is different and the same product is not going to work for everyone. It isn't necessarily a "bad product" if it doesn't work for you. You can have sensitivities to certain ingredients when others don't. It's trial and error when it comes to skincare. Your best bet is to seek a dermatologist if many products aren't working in your favor.
P.S. Makeup wipes are the worst. Don't do it.
Most Helpful Critical Review Wanted this to work I had high hopes for this reasonably priced cleanser but unfortunately it wasn't for me. It did take of my make up waterproof and otherwise but it definitely left some residue which is a no no for a cleansing oil. It causes inflammation because of the residue I assume. I'll be returning this for a different cleansing oil.

I used this to remove my eye makeup. It works great to remove the makeup but it burned my eyes. I will not be using it again.
Surprisingly Great 5

I use oil cleansers as a precleanse. Typically, I don't care for this brands products but I was unable to buy what I normally use. I didn't have high hopes but after using it for a couple weeks, it's probably the best oil cleanser I've ever used.
Great first step in cleansing your face! 5

I love this product! It is an excellent fist step in taking makeup off your face. I follow with MB glycolic cleanser or another favorite cleanser. I feared this might break me out but as with other face products that contain oil, it doesn't. It removes dirt and makeup and doesn't strip or dry my skin. My skin tends to break out from products formulated with silicones so I am thankful anytime I find ones w/o it. I look forward to using this in the winter.
Cleansing Oils Require Double-Cleanse 5

This product work very well to breakdown makeup (even waterproof cream liners and theater grade waterproof setting spray). What the people who gave this product bad reviews obviously don't realize is that an oil cleanser is not meant to be used as a single cleanse. it's supposed to be the first step in a double-cleanse method; the oil cleanser breaks down cosmetics and SPF for easy removal, and you follow up with a cleanser for your skin type afterwards to actually cleanse the skin.
People really shouldn't be leaving bad reviews because they don't understand how a product works in the first place.
better as a double cleanser 4

I've always done the double cleansing method as I've had a thing for korean skin care for some time now. oil cleansers are amazing to melt away makeup and this is just that. others have commented to me that they still feel dirty after using this and I told them to use an actual facial cleaneer after washing the oil off. So far, its worked for them and its worked for me. I've always had the opinion that oil cleansers are best used with the double cleansing method.
Great alternative to expensive balms 5

I bought this in hopes that it will replace my Farmacy Green Clean and it has! I use this to melt makeup then I do a double cleanse and this helps to leave my skin moisturized and clean afterwards.

I rarely breakout but I used this twice to take off my makeup and my acne is still recovering. Better use a makeup wipe
Makeup melts away 4

You do need a second cleanser so your face isn't left oily (I use the one from FAB) but this melts makeup away easily. I wouldn't recommend this to take off mascara though that's way too close to the eyes and this has essential oils.
Dissolves makeup nicely 4
liss21 from Chicago
I was looking for a reasonably priced cleansing oil for my first cleanse & found this at Ulta on a whim. It does a nice job at dissolving makeup and SPF when applied to dry skin & then emulsified with warm water. I don't love all the essential oils in this formula, so I would never use it without a secondary cleanser for fear of breakouts, given my sensitive skin. Because I use this for my first cleanse, I don't notice any residue or greasiness which is nice. All in all, this cleanser does its job at an affordable price point.
