Well Priced, Non-Drying, Trusted Brand
Hair Type Wavy Hair
I have wavy, very fine, color-treated hair that I only wash once a week to preserve color, strength, moisture, etc. Also I'm just lazy and don't like styling my hair multiple times a week! I have used K18 clarifying and the Living Proof detox shampoo, which are both charcoal-based shampoos that do exactly what you want (and do it well) but are definitely a more aggressive detox. This Kenra is not charcoal-based and is a clear formula and I found I was able to comb my hair (no tangles) in the shower after rinsing this out. I have not noticed loss of volume, excess oil, or other concerns with my hair in the week since trying it. I like that it can achieve a good, strong clean without being harsh. As I generally have liked Kenra products, I would say this is a big win and well-priced compared to competitive shampoos!

I love Kenra products so decided to try this when it was on a special. Wow. This shampoo is the BEST. My hair has never felt this soft and shiny. I wish I could use this product every day. 10/10 recommend!
Avoid if you have thin low porosity hair
I tried this many times wondering why after using and testing on its own, my hair came out looking like I stuck my fingers in a light socket. Since this a strong clarifying shampoo and rather pricey, I decided the result must be from something else. But I tested it alone sporadically over a number of weeks, on its own, and found that it left more fusion and buildup than it was supposed to clean out. I always suffer with shampoos and conditioners with this frustratingly thinning and low porosity hair, but I've definitely gotten far better results with cheap drug store shampoos. Pass it up if you have low porosity.
Don't hesitate!
I have sensitive skin and after using this shampoo once a week my hair and scalp have felt so much cleaner before it was very oily and there was product build up.
