Really lovely to use, less damage to hair.

I received this product in exchange for my honest review. I have naturally curly hair with and undercut on both sides and partial regrowth underneath in the back. It is in a little bit of an odd transistion stage. My hair is overall is pretty fine. It tends to get dry and is very susceptible to he...at damage, split ends, and breakage. I was so excited to get the opportunity to try the ghd Chronos Max Styler. I rarely use hot tools on my hair because I know how fragile my hair is. The technology in the Chronos Max says it keeps it from getting too hot to damage your hair. I believe it. Other straighteners I could smell and feel the difference in my hairs dryness. This tool leaves my hair silky smooth. I haven't noticed any increased damage in the weeks I've been testing it. My hair looks healthy and shiny. This styler really is something special. With my hair being SO curly, any amount of humidity tends to recurl. I also have a prominent cowlick in the back of my head, it rarely stays straight due to the heat of my neck and rubbing against clothing. With other straighteners my ends would get curled by the end of the day. I don't have any of those issues. My hair stays straight and reacts less to humidity. It turns on with a button, has a power on and ready tone, powers off the same. It takes such little time to warm, maybe a minute. Super quick. The process of straightening is the quickest I've ever experienced. I don't know if it's the wider plates or just the quality of this styler but the time it takes to straighten my hair is cut in half. Most sections take one maybe two passes and they are good to go. The styler works well, as it should being a luxury priced product. I do think it's really really REALLY nice. I think if you are looking to invest in a device that is a bit gentler/safer on your hair, it is a solid choice. It's easy to use, takes less time, and seems to do less damage.
