- To pair with your favorite powder eyeshadow, apply Caviar Stick Eyeshadow first, then apply powder eyeshadow on top.
- For light or medium shades, use a flat dense eyeshadow brush for a quick wash of color. To ensure seamless application closer to the lash line use a smaller flat brush.

I have included an image that I swatched Laura Mercier's caviar stick eye cream in color Strapless, twice. The top swatch is the cream applied with 1 min wear. Goes on smooth and does cake into creases, rubs and buffs out nicely! I would probably get this in more neutral tones.
Broken
I've bought this product three times; the first when it was a smaller pencil and twice when the pencil was full length. All three times the liner has broken (I got the most use from the smaller pencil). In the last order, it broke on the second use and I'm using a q-tip to salvage anything remaining. Modern Rose and Amethyst are beautiful colors and the style is convenient. But I can't afford to continue buying a product with a design flaw.

It goes on smooth without pulling at your skin and stays in place all day once it dries. You need to work fast though, it dries quickly. I love the fun color!
Product broke off after a week
I had this for about a week and the product already broke and was in the cap! It came back out but now it's loose. I also was able to see how little product there actually is. This is the mini so hopefully the full size is better. Another negative is the color fades by the end of the day. Positives: the amethyst color is perfect. Not too purpley, not too dark or too light. A beautiful neutral with some warm sparkle - but not too warm (browns and pinks make me look tired). It's also smooth and easy to blend.
