Bad Chemical Fruit Smell but Works GREAT!

I love CurlSmith products but really don't like their scents. I have tried almost all their products over the past year or two and the scents are strong and don't dissipate over the day(s) so if you like fake fruity smells you are in luck. The purple line has the loudest scents and the orange the so...

Effective but painful and nauseatingly strong fragrance

I recently colored my hair and my curls needed a little help. From the first minute I opened up this bottle, I got an immediate headache. I followed the directions and applied it to damp hair and left on for 30 minutes before washing and conditioning with my go-to unscented products. Even after rins...

Amazing!

I love this bond repair. I have been using it for a while and didnt notice much difference at first. However, I took a tip from abby Young and started using it after fully cleansing my hair. Immediately I see a enormous difference. I have heat damaged/color damaged/neglected hair that im working to restore now that im in a plave to start giving my hair more attention. My hair as damaged as it is would feel very fragile and snap with anything i do with it (its a wonder i still have hair) but after using this treatment after shampoo, my hair feels stronger to the touch. Even as I was styling there was almost zero shedding which was mind blowing for my hair in the state its been in. This is a keeper for sure. (I also do use repair products in my styling routine but still the difference this time was substantial enough to know the bond salve was the reason)

I was using it for months as a pre shampoo treatment and wasnt seeing much difference. I just figured it was a thing you would have to wait to see long term results.. I am a black woman with natural hair fyi. I just came actoss abby young and her tips for damaged hair. I decided to try because i have very damaged brittle hair. Babe, use it aftet you shampoo.. IMMEDIATELY my hair felt like it was somebody else's! So strong! So resilient! I was SHOCKED! I normally inly every got those results from okd school protein treatments. Child im hooked now! All wash out bonding treatments will permanently be my second step after shampoo! Completely changed the game!

Will this true love become a former love?

Ok so let me preface by saying that everything i loved (love?) about this product still holds. Its an excellent treatment to use after you've been naughty with your curls—like doing back to back high heat styles, even with silicone based heat protection, which you plan on removing with a clarifying wash. It's moisturizing and replenishs lost protein. It's especially great for higher porosity hair. Now the cons: holy shrinkflation batman! You used go be able to get 2x as much for $10 more, and you might even get a better deal with the curly bogos ulta runs. No more of that I guess. It's also not a miracle treatment—so dont expect it to be. If you have an inch or more of split ends, it will not mend them—nothingvbesides a haircut will fix that. This product will not even temporarily reduce the appearance of split ends—though a heavy coat of some leave-ins can. Anyways, I'll probaby keep buting this—just like I will my now $6 eggs. Its the new normal i guess. This is no longer a "budget friendly" favorite though. Its a begrudging luxury that does do what I want/need

Never Without This Product

Hair Type Wavy Hair

I have fine, porous, thinning, aging, wavy to moderately curly hair. This product brings shine, bounce, and strength to my waves and curls. I sometimes use it in the shower and apply while finishing my shower and sometimes even apply as a rinse-out conditioner at the end of my shower. I do use an additional conditioner afterwards. Of course, it works best if you can leave it for 30 min or more, but often I do not save time for this prior to showering. This product has brought life to my waist length wavy hair!

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
