Most Helpful Positive Review Very subtle
First off, I want to say that I have NEVER dyed my hair, ever. I was interested in this product though since it was a subtle change that wasn't meant to be permanent. I was nervous as I dispensed that first pump onto my hands in the shower. The shampoo was black, so there was no turning back as soon as it touched my head. I must say, these are not the results I was expecting, but I am still happy with the result. The volume of my hair is AMAZING! I've gotten several compliments on it. The only difference I have noticed in the coloring is that it is slightly lighter with a matte effect. My hair also smells great and I can go a day or two without washing and it still looks nice.

I was very excited about this product, But when I revived it was damaged while being shipped the pump had snapped off and some product leaked out. That being said I was still able to get a few washes in. my hair did have a more orange tint to it before but not exactly what I expected.

I did not even really use the shampoo. It appears to be a thick burgundy gloss. I was going for a pastel lilac to cover my blonde. I did a test strip and it darkened my hair to a brownish color. I'm not sure why it's labeled as lilac. Look at contents before purchasing, that's my advice.
I wouldn't buy this again

It didn't work for me I didn't even see the color at all...not worth buying
The Silver one

I see a lot of complaints about it not working but I put it on my hair for 5-10 mins and it turns my light light blonde hair back into my platinum color that I get done every 6 weeks.. I love it becuz I can keep the platinum look daily now instead of 1 week.. (also I use it every other day to make sure it stays since I have to wash everyday due to a dirty work place)
Not as advertised

I read through the reviews of the Strawberry color and I can see what everyone's saying now - there's a picture of the product where it looks like it's a light pink smear but when I got it, it was a very dark red/brown like blood. I have platinum hair and this came out more like a rose gold (so like a bronze color) and definitely not the light pink blush shown in the pictures on the Ulta Beauty website where I ordered it. It doesn't look horrible, but it's definitely not what I thought I was ordering. Fortunately, it's temporary and should come out in a few days. Will be avoiding this brand moving forward.
Don't do it!

One would think by the name, this product would be safe for use on blond hair. This is my second review of this product. My first review was for the Silver wash. This review is for the Strawberry wash.
I have bleached blonde hair.
When I used the silver wash, I didn't really get much of a result.
I made a big mistake by trying the Strawberry wash. I used it just as directed. I shampooed and left it on for 5 minutes. When I stepped out of the shower I gasped. Even before drying my hair, I could tell it was RED! not "pastel pink" as advertised. When dried, it was more orangey red. And the color didn't even grab evenly. I have now washed my hair 6 times (3 of those with clarifying shampoo), and the color has only faded slightly. I don't think it will come out completely. I am probably going to have to go to the salon and have a bleach wash done to get my hair back to blonde. It is going to end up being an expensive lesson to learn.

I had to use it several times before it deposited much color and when it did, it was very patchy. I've dyed my hair pink several times and this is the worst product I've used. Get the Moroccan oil ones instead
Didn't knock my socks off

I am a "bottle blonde".
I purchased this because my new stylist is a little timid about leaving bleach on long enough, so I have more gold in my hair than I like. I usually use a purple shampoo and purple mask but wanted to try something new, so I purchased this in silver.
The first 2 times I used it as directed (shampooed, left on 5 minutes, rinsed). It did absolutely nothing. I read some reviews online, and some suggested applying to dry hair and leaving it on for 15 minutes, before wetting, lathering and rinsing it. This method left me with a beautiful tone. I don't know if I would really call it "silver". It is more ashy blonde. But it is very pretty.
I did notice it feels like it pulls moisture from my hair, so I followed up with a good brightening mask.
A dark pinkish red, not blush
Lauren from Los Angeles
Not a blush pink at all for me. Makes my hair look reddish on camera which is not what I wanted. Also pretty drying. I did my whole head a few times but then let it really wash out and just did one half to see the contrast better. My stylist recommended this brand because it doesn't give your hair weird byproduct tones but it just isn't the color promised.
Not even worth 1 star.

I've tried to wash my hair several times with this, left on dry hair, sat in wet hair for a long time. I've washed it several times in a row. It just does absolutely nothing to my color.

Waste of money. My purple shampoo deposits more color than this. I'm a level 10 pale blonde and all it did was give me splotchy pinkish spots here and there.
So fun to switch things up!

Super easy and fun to use! Great for switching up blonde hair when you don't want to do anything too crazy. Love the color and how its held in my hair.
Not a "wash out temporary color"
Rachel from New York
First off this does really color your hair. First attempt I left it in for 10 minutes and it did nothing, second attempt I did it for another 10 minutes. It worked very well then. BUT it does not come out well at all! After a week and a half of using clarifying Shampoo, and dawn dish soap, and baking soda. It is not lightening in my light blonde pieces around my face. This could easily last you 3 to 4 weeks of color. DO NOT USE if you're looking for just a fun short term color.
At 68, I'm loving my lilac hair!

My natural hair is light grey/white-ish. I use this product at least once a week leaving it on 15-20 minutes. I absolutely LOVE the lavender shade my hair turns out. Leaves my hair in excellent condition, not harsh at all. When I'm working, my hair color has to be a "natural" shade so it's so fun to play with temporary colors. I'm now going to try the pink!
I love this product in Silver

I use it once a week and leave it on for 20 minutes. Then rinse . My hair is soft and shiny. Love this product.
Not much color
jmace from Dallas
I wanted to try the shampoo since I've tried the spray(great color) and I've used the brand Keracolor. This shampoo did not leave much if any color at all after one use. Maybe I need to leave it longer and do multiple washes but I prefer the results I get with Keracolor better plus that is a "clenditioner" and leaves my hair soft. This is a true shampoo and I have to use condition after, which could lessen the overall color once I get out of the shower. It smells great and didn't dry my hair out but failed at depositing color the way I wanted after 1 wash.
Right and wrong way to use this product
ibekristi from Mission Viejo, CA
Here's the deal on how to use this to get a lot of color. I'm medium blonde and purchased the apricot color. I first tried this per the directions which is shampoo as usual, leave in 2 to 5 minutes and rinse. I did that and hardly could see any color. It got me thinking all the water on the hair during the shampoo probably diluted it so the next time I wet my hair then towel dried it to damp, applied the shampoo, left on for 5 minutes. BIG difference! Lots of color. Some say to wear gloves but I only found that necessary if you have a light colored manicure. I did and had to buff my nails after because it left them an faint orange hue that didn't wash off with soap. It does not stain your hands if you're washing them right after you apply.
Not what I expected.

I did not find that my hair had any color from the shampoo. Also, felt my hair was not shiny or soft as a result of using this product. It was quite pricey.
Gentle in all ways.
Connie from Holland, PA
Just wanted to try something different. Feels good while washing and after. Use a 2nd time rather than wash out and it gets slightly deeper. Easy to control as not brash or heavy in color.
Waste of money

My hair is white blonde and it did nothing. Don't waste your money!
This product was just as advertised.

I bought it during the lockdown just to boost my rather blah color. It did what I wanted it to do, which was give me a little color boost.
Doesn't work at all
Helene from Los Angeles
I have naturally light blonde hair. I followed directions and absolutely no color deposited in my hair. I tried a second time using a lot of the product, drenching and soaking my hair from roots to tips, and let it set for 10 minutes. The color only took to my roots and instead of it being a pastel pink, it's an awful orangey pink. Looks absolutely embarrassing. What a waste of money. Hoping it washes out soon.
Cara from New Jersey
I used the lilac shade and I'm obsessed with how it came out! I was sent a free sample and after washing my hair, I left it on for maybe 20 mins before rinsing it out. I'm obsessed with the results and how much product comes in the bottle. I can do it over and over again!
Love the look

i've always used a purple shampoo and decided to try a blue... i will not be going back to purple! i love this! and it smells wonderful!

I've tried this shampoo several times now and even though it smells really good it does not deposit color into my blonde hair. I am so disappointed. I wanted it to work.
