Very subtle

First off, I want to say that I have NEVER dyed my hair, ever. I was interested in this product though since it was a subtle change that wasn't meant to be permanent. I was nervous as I dispensed that first pump onto my hands in the shower. The shampoo was black, so there was no turning back as soon...

Mixed feelings

I was very excited about this product, But when I revived it was damaged while being shipped the pump had snapped off and some product leaked out. That being said I was still able to get a few washes in. my hair did have a more orange tint to it before but not exactly what I expected.

Tone is supposed to be lilac and it turned my natural gray hair orange!!! Had to wash every single day for a week with purple shampoo to get the orange out. Worse product I've ever bought for gray hair!!

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

Love the Shade, but Slow to Fade

Used as directed, the strawberry shade transformed my level 10 ash blonde hair with a level 9 topaz. Slightly warm, but a cooler strawberry blond. If you are looking for pink, this not for you. It was super easy to use and left my hair feeling better. I love that the coverage is perfectly even. Use gloves and avoid getting on the skin near the hairline, unless you don't mind staining. Unlike other semi-permanent color, this is slow to fade. After 1 month, my hair is still darker than before use.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Not purple-toned at all

I was hoping for this to provide a color similar to the purple shade on the bottom part of the label. I was startled when I opened this and found a thin liquid (as compared with typical shampoo) which was an unpleasant-looking reddish-brown. Honestly it looked about like cherry cola or kind of the color of dried blood. Definitely not 'lilac' or even a hint of purple tone that I could see. I came here and read reviews before using it. I'm glad I did… many mentioned the unexpected shade and that they used it and did not get the results they were looking for. I did try a small test area of hair at the ends and it definitely didn't magically change to 'lilac' in color, more of a cherry brown. It would have been a disaster on my lightened blonde hair. Since this was expensive and is not the way it was described or labeled, I'll be returning this for sure.

Not what I imagined

I did not even really use the shampoo. It appears to be a thick burgundy gloss. I was going for a pastel lilac to cover my blonde. I did a test strip and it darkened my hair to a brownish color. I'm not sure why it's labeled as lilac. Look at contents before purchasing, that's my advice.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend
