I had a balayage appointment with my BELOVED stylist earlier this week, and I was really disappointed with the toner being too deep and ashy. I didn't like the end result. We decided to give my hair a few weeks' rest before adding extra bleach because it didn't necessarily look bad, it just wasn't at all what I wanted—and I didn't want to further damage my hair. I *almost* cried, but I had a plan, and I'm so glad it worked! A couple days later, I used the Joico Blonde Life Brightening Shampoo, used Briogeo "Don't Despair, Repair" hair masque overnight, then rinsed with 1/2 Joico BLB Conditioner 1/2 Joico BLB Masque after 10 minutes. It effectively (and evenly) stripped out the toner to a much more desired shade without scorching the earth (my hair and scalp). The shampoo is absolutely drying and stripping, much like a strong clarifying shampoo, so be forewarned! It doesn't deposit color, but it did EXACTLY what I needed it to. Even my boyfriend noticed the difference, which is truly saying something! I recommend trying the smaller bottle to see if this is the right product for you. As I said, it took a lot of my toner out, but also all the good stuff! Definitely use a very deep moisturizing product with this shampoo so you don't get a head full of hay!
