Use an eye primer to like e.l.f.'s Lock It Down Eyeshadow Primer (sold separately) to prep your eyelids for application.
Apply powder eyeshadow to each lid using an eyeshadow brush.

These are super cute, great for a small travel kit, and good for the price. I found the metallics to really be super pigmented and beautiful, but the mattes were very shear. Lovely Mini Palettes
Last month, I purchased Elf Cosmetic's Bite-Size Eyeshadow Palettes in Cold Brew and Total Smokeshow. I haven't tried the second one yet, but I love the neutral and brown colors in the Mini Cold Brew Palette. They're perfect for blending on fair skin tones and carrying them in your make-up bag. I would love to buy all the other mini palettes in the near future to try them all.

Great for teens, beginners, and travel
I love these palettes and usually I find drugstore eyeshadow to be cheap and patchy. Not the case at all with these. Very nice shimmers and easy to blend. Also great for beginners because it's just a few colors for one look put together for you. Great stocking stuffers for the holiday season, too.
