Pills
I have only used the product a couple times so I cannot speak on its efficacy yet. However, it pills. A lot. I recommend only applying at night unless you want to look like a shedding snake.

exactly what i wanted
I get rosacea, more little tiny bumps than redness, and this completely gets rid of them! The smell is strange ok, BUT i feel like once i put my moisturizer over it I dont notice it after like 10-20 minutes. I dont think the smell is as bad as people say, it doesnt smell like roses but personally it doesnt bother me. My ulta only has this exact bottle but without the vitamin C so im not sure if its new or something but I showed them this online and they said it was the same? Not sure about that as mine does not say vitamin C anywhere on it and I feel like it would but whatever! Super lightweight and absorbs into the skin nicely. I dont have any issue with pilling or putting makeup on after. I used every other day for a week then started to use each day and I never had any irritation or dryness and I have really sensitive skin.
Warning: Can cause bad breakouts—test cautiously first
I normally do not write reviews but wanted to caution people with this one. Obviously everyone's skin is different, but I usually do not breakout from things and I had one of the worst breakouts I've ever had from specifically this azelaic acid. I have used The Ordinary's azelaic acid for years with decent results and thought I would try this product to see if I liked the formulation better but that was a big mistake! My skin erupted in multiple stubborn pimples a few days into using this. This product may be fine for some people but it seems like there are others that have written reviews about badly breaking out so if you are going to try this go VERY slow to make sure it's not a problem for you. Learn from my mistake and don't assume that because you tolerate one formulation of azelaic acid that it will be the same for this one.
Helps redness but it smells…
It did help my redness. However, if you are sensitive smell, it legit smells like someone with bad breath sneezed on you.
Would recommend for hyperpigmentation
Got this due to dark spots from healed pimples. I broke out reallt bad on my jaw line and this got rid of it! Id recommend. Tapping is better application than smearing. My only issue now is hormonal acne and it clears up the scarring/leftover bump quick. 4/5 stars bc packaging is heavy (i like) but hard to tell when you are out or runninf low
Great product
Use this product to helped with my dermatitis. It caused minor dryness but went away after two days.
