Much better than their SPF 30 AM version

I'd always hoped that Cerave's AM formulas were as light and lovely as the PM, which in my opinion is one of the best moisturizers available, for efficacy & value. Over a decade ago, I'd tried the original AM SPF30, which was terrible; it did not feel anything like the wonderful PM formula. This Cer...

Looks good but smells awful

I recently switched from CeraVe's SPF 30 AM Moisturizer to this 50 SPF version, but I will definitely be going back to the SPF 30 version. They both work good at moisturizing and not leaving a white cast, but this one smells so badly like sunscreen. I suppose it may have been the sudden switch, but ...

I like this because it doesnt make my rosacea worse, but sometimes it balls up and leaves white peely residue on my skin. It doesnt matter if ive just exfoliated or washed my face.

Terrible

If you have dry skin. It will cling to dry patches and flake off. It is terrible to blend into skin. Smell is okay, nothing overbearing but I personally dont mind smell.

Made My Eyes Burn

Submitted 7 days ago

By Grace

From Midwest, USA

I recieved a sample of this with purchase. It does feel a bit greasy and has a white cast initially, as others have mentioned, but the white cast disappears as it absorbs. The dealbreaker for me is that it made my eyes burn throughout the day. If my face developed any sweat that dripped in my eyes, my eyes stung horribly. I would not purchase the full size.

Clumps and Leaves White Film

Submitted 26 days ago

By Rachel

From Rochester, MN

Do I think the coverage works? Yes. Does it clump and leave a white film? Yes. I understand it is sunscreen and sunscreen does that. However, prior to applying makeup, it's terrible. I love CeraVe products but this one is a no go for me.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

Better than the 30 SPF

Submitted 1 month ago

By Courtney

From North Carolina

I am fan of CeraVe products in general. I also have sensitive skin. I have tried the spf 30 version of this as well. The spf 30 version of this has way more of a white cast. I tried the spf 50 recently and noticed less of a white cast and less rubbing in of the product that I had to do. I would love it if they had a water resistant version of this sunscreen.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
