Q
Should I apply this product all over my face or use it like a spot treatment on blemishes?
Asked by I
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
You can apply this all over the face or as a spot treatment, depending on what suits your skin best. You may also want to explore the Salicylic Acid 2% Masque as another option for full-face or targeted blemish treatment. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Does textual irregularities include KP, keratosis pilaris?
Asked by PositiveBroccoli
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
Keratosis Pilaris (sometimes referred to as KP or strawberry skin) is characterized by rough and bumpy skin and can show up in places like the arms and legs. A combination of exfoliation and hydration can help target the feel of rough and bumpy skin. We recommend applying Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner to exfoliate the skin, followed by Natural Moisturizing Factors + Inulin to provide all-day continuous moisture. Please note that we do not recommend applying this product to broken or irritation skin, or covered areas such as the inner thighs or underarms. None of our products can be considered medical treatments for persistent skin concerns. If you are experiencing extensive or persistent skin conditions, please consult your doctor or dermatologist. <3Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Can this product also be used to treat old bug bite scars and old acne scars?
Asked by Sofia
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
Hi there! Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA can minimie the appearance of dark spots and brighten. It has been tested for use on the face/neck only. Please note this product has not been tested to treat bug bite scars. For post-acne marks, we recommend Aloe 2% + NAG 2% Solution. We hope this helps! Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Can this product be used in the same routine as the 2% salisylic acid serum?
Asked by CG
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
Hi there! We do not recommend using Salicylic Acid 2% Solution in the same regimen as Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% as they are both direct acids. We hope this helps! Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Will this help get rid of my acne scars?
Asked by Aubrey
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
Hi there! Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% is a formula for uneven and blemish-prone skin. For post-acne marks, you may wish to explore Aloe 2% + NAG 2% Solution, or Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner for uneven skin tone. We hope this helps! Was this answer helpful to you

This stuff has saved my skin

I was suffering from bad hormonal acne on my chin. I went to a dermatologist and she put me on antibiotics for three months and prescribed very agressive creams. I tried it for three months but my acne got worse. I still had the Azelaic Acid Suspension laying around and decided to give it a go, in o...

Received oxidized serum

This was my first time ordering and sadly I received an already oxidized serum which is supposed to be unoppened, most probably it's a batch that is expired as the website states unoppened products have 3 years shelf life. I will seek to return this product and hope there won't be much hassle in t...

I gave this a try about a year ago when my skin barrier was damaged and had lots of acne. I gave up thinking it was making things worse. Now that I've worked with a dermatologist to gety acne under control, I have noticed a reduction in the red spots I had post-acne. I use it every morning and have no irritation. It is great for the price!

Works miracles on my hyperpigmentation spots. I use it once daily and it's faded my spots without irritation or causing breakouts. I've been using this for years now and absolutely love it.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Its an affordable acid. I definitely enjoyed it as my first azaelic acid. I used this in combination with the la roche b5 serum and saw the slow progress working.

I'm 31 and have struggled with acne, scarring, and texture since I was in my teens. I'm currently 20 weeks pregnant and have been battling crazy hormonal acne and whitehead clusters but didn't know what was safe to use while pregnant - this popped up while doing some TikTok research. After just 4 days of using this only at night, my skin is visibly smoother and more even toned and my pregnancy acne has (so far) disappeared! I don't love the thick primer-like consistency, but if it keeps working this well for me I will keep purchasing!!!
