Love this product, been using it for years. This product is for super coily, and coarse hair, if you're getting buildup it's because this product isnt made or fomated for your hair type.

I took a chance on purchasing this product due to it being moisturizing and detangling shampoo. It delivers exactly that. The slip is perfect. I usually finger detangle during my shampoo process because it makes my hair so soft and manageable. The conditioner just adds the cherry on the top. I ran out of shampoo, ended up purchasing another brand that claimed it was moisturizing and detangling. My hair was stiff after the 2nd was. Thankfully, I had the Design Essential conditioner left. It instantly softened my hair. I went the next day and purchased the 32oz shampoo. Im sold for life!!
