Most Helpful Positive Review Works good. Wish it had heat options I received one as a free gift from Ulta. Gave it to my 15yr old high school daughter who has naturally curly (yet fine) hair but she straightens it daily. She says it works good for her to touch up her hair the second day or later in the day. She takes it to school for touch ups. She says it has more than enough heat with only the one setting but she wishes it could be adjusted because the heat setting isn't always constant, sometimes burning hot and sometimes not.
Most Helpful Critical Review Terrible This iron is absolutely terrible. I honestly thought it had heat control since it says heats "up to 420". My bad for not reading there is only one heat setting (which is LOW). There is no chance this thing heats up to 420. No matter how I glided this over my hair (slowly or quick pass), my hair frizzed out. My previous mini iron (that this was replacing), would not only tame my hair, but make it soft and shiny. This one just frizzed it out and actually made it stand on end (like static electricity). Absolutely terrible - would not recommend - and will be returning to Ulta tomorrow.

Had received an online coupon for $15 off, attempted to use it at the register but clerk said it was not a good coupon. The coupon was for any purchase of $50 or more, but she said it was for purchase of $350 or more. Didn't argue with her but felt she didn't bother to look into it. Her demeanor was a bit officious.
Returned it. Doesn't get very hot. 2

I love that it straightens and curls, but it doesn't heat up fast and doesn't even get that hot. Returned it.
Works great for me 5

This works great for short hair. I had purchased a Chi about a year ago. It had an extremely long cord which was a pain. I really didn't need an iron that big. This time I asked for help and one of the girls recommended for me. Great for every day and travel.
Sucks very disappointed 1

Doesn't even heat up fast if I could give this zero star I would!
Gets too hot on the outside of iron 1
SJ from San Antonio, Texas
The outer part of the flat iron gets extremely hot, which is probably why it comes with a small glove. Totally burned my forehead and ears. Also doesn't seem to grip the hair. My stylist uses the regular size one that doesn't heat up on the outer side so I'll be returning this one for the other one instead. Tried to save $$ but wasn't worth it.

Total waste of money 1

I wouldn't even give this a full star. I wish I had read the reviews before I bought it. I will be returning it tomorrow. Doesn't get hot enough and it won't clamp down to hold the hair. Very disappointed 👎🏼
Basically A Toy 1
KSlay from North Carolina
This is the Easy Bake Oven of flat irons. It takes forever to heat up and barely gets hot enough to straighten hair.
Don't waste ur money on this 1

I would definitely buy this product again. 5

I bought this to replace my Babybliss mini flatiron which was no longer getting hot after several years of use. I already have straight fine hair which lays flat, but I use an iron to lift and add volume. Saw the negative reviews after buying and was concerned. I am happy to report that it worked beautifully for my purposes.
SoooooOooooOooo BAD! 1
J from Miami Beach
Luckily I received this iron as a free gift for purchasing the full size so I didn't feel bad when I chucked it out the window. I thought how lucky did I get to take the last iron my Ulta had but no wonder this is consistently a free gift. It's terrible!! It barely heats up and frizzed and fried all of my hair. Ladies, take the mini dryer.
Compact size, dual use with curl & flat side, slippery 2
DetroitGrl from Detroit
The barrel and flat iron are so slippery that it is difficult to grab and curl my short hair, which makes it difficult to use.
Freebie!!! 5

Received this when I bought my daughter a new iron. Totally love it. I have medium length hair and was able to create great waves in just a few minutes. I travel often and this will be in my bag!
Don't spend your money on this! 1

This is supposed to be a smaller version of the also most 150 flat iron that I bought my sister for her birthday. I was very excited when I got this as a free gift so I could keep it for myself. This thing is terrible! It's so short that you can't straighten anything and the quality of the flat iron doesn't compare to the large one at all!

It is small enough that I can actually use it on the shorter hairs.
