Most Helpful Positive Review This product really blew me away This product really surprised me.... out of the tube, it feels really light and watery, like it wouldn't do anything for you, but once you put it on your face, it immediately sinks in... you really do get that plumping feeling that other products say they do, but don't. I have extremely dry skin from using retin-a for the last couple years, and I normally moisturize with three products; a water gel, a regular moisturizer, and an oil to seal the moisture in.... I've been through so many high end moisturizers, and at the end of my day, I always feel a little dry. This product moisturizes like a dream.... I don't have to fallow up with anything else. It's very lightweight, does not leave the skin greasy, and does not sting my face like other hylouronic acid gels usually do to me. I will say that this item is pretty pricey, however, you really don't need a lot. My previous holy grail water gel cream was the Peter Thomas Roth cream cloud, however I had to use a lot more of that each time to apply. This is not like that. A pea sized amount will moisturize your whole face. I'm very impressed with this and until now didn't know a moisturizer like this existed. I think this product would be great for all skin types. It's lightweight for oily skin, but hydrates very well for dry skin. There is also not really a scent to this, so sensitive skin would like this as well. Definitely my new holy grail. Works excellent under makeup since it is water based. Really am enjoying this a lot more than I thought I would just based on the texture of the gel. I'm 34 years old, and do have dry sensitive acne prone skin, and this has not broke me out (I usually get breakouts immediately if it's a product that doesn't work for my skin)
Obviously everyone's skin is different, but I really think this is a great product, at least get a sample or try it in store. Really starting to love dermalogica products. I have their hydro blur primer, and multi active toner, both I absolutely love also.
Most Helpful Critical Review I want to like this, but I can't I received this product for free to try and review, and I was very excited! Water Gels are quite the rage and living in the Northeast where the wind hurts your face in the winter I was very excited to have a layer of defense. However, as hard as I want to like this product I just can't, and I have been using it for about a month now. Like with any new product, I did notice slight breakouts when I switched. However even after the normal 2 week period I am still noticing clogged pores and blemishes. The gel is also very clinical smelling, it's very potent. It reminds me of walking into an OB/GYN office for some reason, and the smell doesn't dissipate right away, neither does the greasy or wet appearance after putting it on your skin. I normally have to put it on my face and then do something else for about 15 minutes for the product to fully absorb into my skin before putting makeup on, or I notice my makeup running down my face in a few hours even with a primer on. Most importantly, this gel has increased the redness and blotch I was to my uneven skin tone. After a consistent 4 weeks of use I went back to my normal moisturizer because I couldn't continue to see a decline in my skins appearance After I had worked 6 years to clear acne and brighten and even my skin tone.

I have breakout prone skin with sensitivity and redness. I love this product because it helps to take away my redness and hydrate, but the gel texture isn't too heavy for my breakout prone skin. I adore the smell and texture of this product and highly recommend it to anyone who gets dry/red with breakouts or has a lot of sensitivity but likes a lightweight feeling moisturizer with tons of hydration.

Even though this said it was for dry skin I decided to try it because it said it is calming on redness. I love the lavender scent and use it every night. I have not had any problems with my oily skin and this has helped calm some of the redness in my cheeks down. A lot of people complain about the size but I like the small size (yes it is expensive for size) because I use very little and it goes a long way. Had this bottle for a couple months and I'm not even halfway through

Magic! I have been searching for years for a way to clear up my adult acne and soothe my super sensitive, dry skin without using antibiotics or a complicated routine. Here it is! Wash with gentle CeraVe, moisturize with this. At night I swipe on The Ordinary's glycolic acid toner before I moisturize. That's it! Same routine in all four seasons. My skin will never be perfect, but it looks clear and more even, feels soft, and I feel much more confident. Highly recommend in collaboration with the CeraVe and the glycolic acid.
Amazing Texture 5

Being that my skin is combination and sometimes gets really oily, I was hesitant to use moisturizer. My dermatologist recommended I use this, so it's the first moisturizer I have ever used. It feels like you are drenching your skin with water and is so light weight. I would recommend this product to any one who is looking for a great moisturizer and has any skin type.

I went in to ulta back in October with a ton of tiny flesh colored bumps on my cheeks and chin that were itchy and burned. I'm pretty sure it was from wearing my mask. I was looking for a product with natural ingredients. An esthetician there recommend the trial size sensitive skin collection. She said when trying out a new skin care products give it 30 days. I absolutely love the calming gel and the ultra calming mist. I'm not a fan of the cleanser, but this is the clearest my skin has been in a VERY long time! My skin texture is very smooth as well. I will definitely continue to use these products.

Instantly noticed a difference! 5

I bought this when it was on sale and I was secretly hoping I wouldn't like it because of the price point. Within a week of using it, I was already noticing a difference in my skin! My skin felt less textured and looked brighter. I love how lightweight it feels but also very moisturizing. I have combination skin and this has been perfect. I'm actually a nurse and I have to wear a mask throughout my entire shift. After I started using this gel, I saw a dramatic reduction on my breakouts. It is a smaller sized bottle but you don't need to use too much in order for it to work! It's definitely worth a try!
THE BEST hyaluronic ACID! 5
Nina35 from Canton, mi.
I am a makeup/skincare junky, so I have tried just about every product containing vitamin c & hyaluronic acid to help with my hyperpigmentation, acne, fine lines, and texture. I had been using T.O. hyaluronic acid, but nothing compares to this one. It absorbs quickly, is good for sensitive skin...... and the scent is amazing&calming (like lavender). For the last month I have been using dermalogica biolumin-c, this calm water gel, and dynamic skin recovery spf50 moisturizer, due to having half of my face discolored because of a bad reaction to a product I used by a different brand. This new routine took atleast 5-years off of my face, barely any fine lines left, my skin has cleared significantly, and looks more radiant&even-toned. Luckily I caught this on sale for 50% off before, and the tubes will last your for MONTHS! I definitely recommend, because THIS IS A GAME CHANGER! This skincare line is very expensive, but is also VERY effective! Whatever the dermalogica products claim to do, is exactly what they do!

This stuff worked amazingly on my skin as I have very sensitive skin with rosacea and struggle with perioral dermatitis breakouts. However, the bottle is soooo small and ran out in a matter of weeks and its extremely expensive for the amount of product you get. It would be nice if they made a bigger size. I really wish dermalogica would chill on the pricing and make their products more accessible to those who can't afford to spend 50+ on a small sized moisturizer...
Definitely buy this again! 5

Used on a small patch of dry skin and it smoothed over within days.
oily skin not a good combination 1
jim from annapolis MD
It is a good moisturizer but it does require about a dime size dollop to get over the entire face. I wanted to try this for some rosacea that i have around my nostrils from a horrific retinol/topical combination from my dermatologist. after 2 weeks, i did not notice much improvement in the sensitivity or the redness however my skin is super oily and within 30 minutes of cleansing and applying this my face was completely saturated with oil. This is a super moisturizing product. Pores were super enlarged, very productive and black heads popping up like crazy. Not a good combo. I do not know if this is non-comedogenic or perhaps just not a good match for my skin. If you are experiencing sensitivity or redness but not dryness, i would beware. I use dermalogica active clearing cleanser and la rosche posay effaclar mat now
Best for dry patches 5
Sscia from Aliso Viejo, CA
I have combination skin. I get dry patches all around my mouth and chin. I use this moisturizer only at nighttime. I squeeze a dime size amount into my hands rub it and pat it all over my face. In the morning my face is very soft and no dry patches. It's been a miracle worker and my dry patches are slowly disappearing.

I love it I got it for the beauty sale and I thought it would work good because I have really dry skin in the winter. It works great and a little goes a long way. Just remember to squeeze only a little bit out of the bottle or else it all squirt out and then it gets messy.

The BEST Moisturizer!!! 5
Kathleen from Maryland
This is the best moisturizer I've ever used. It's lightweight, practically turning to liquid when touching your face. It's absorbed quickly, and it's never greasy. It doesn't aggravate my Rosacea, in fact, I think it's helped it. It feels cool when applied. A dot the size of a pea is enough for my whole face, so a tube lasts a very long time, making it economical as well.
Already bought a second one before I even finished the first 5

I LOVE this product. I feel it gives a after facial look. So it's good for both day and night
It's a BIG YEEEEEEEESSSSSS! 5
Nina35 from Canton, MI.
I had always used the ordinary hylaurolic acid serum, but this was on sale for half off, and I just started a new dermalogica regiment so I figured I would give it a shot. It does burn a little upon initially applying it, but it is SO GOOD! Didn't irritate my sensitive skin, seemed to penetrate and work fast. It's not oily, which is great because I have an oily t-zone, and this kept my oily at bay. It smells like essential oils (maybe lavender&tea tree), which is great since my nose is so sensitive. I DEFINITELY recommend. I use this after using the biolumin-c serum from dermalogica.
