Squeeze a small amount into your palm and rub your hands together to activate. Then, pat gently onto your face and neck. Use twice a day for continuous relief. Once the Calm Water Gel has been fully absorbed, you can apply the Stabilizing Repair Cream. Rub the cream between your hands then apply to your face and neck with light, upward strokes. vs stabilizing repair cream. I already use barrier cream at night. super dry/sensitive skin.
- Asked by EL
- Official Answer By Dermalogica US - Brand EngageHello, thank you for contacting Dermalogica. Calm Water Gel and Stabilizing Repair Cream are both moisturizers designed for sensitive skin, but they differ in their formulation and specific benefits. Calm Water Gel is a weightless water-gel moisturizer that hydrates dry, sensitive skin. Its refreshing gel formula transforms into a skin-quenching fluid upon application, forming a weightless barrier against environmental assault. On the other hand, Stabilizing Repair Cream is an ultra-soothing cream with actives that calm on contact, helping to break the pattern of sensitive skin as they immediately comfort and help skin become more resilient over time. It soothes on contact, repairs the skin’s lipid barrier, and strengthens skin to help keep signs of sensitivity at bay. Best Wishes, The Dermalogica TeamWas this answer helpful to you

I find that with oil free formulas ("gel moisturizers"), often my makeup, tinted moisturizers, and even creams I apply after, have a tendency to pill and separate a lot. Whatever I'm putting on after gel formulas will stick, clump, smear, and ultimately change in texture, making it nearly impossible to apply makeup without essentially removing what i can only assume is the "berrier"/residue from the gel, along with whatever else I'm trying to apply, even after giving the product hours to absorb. Is this because HA tends to be a bit sticky? My skin actually doesn't always love HA, but i wish it did. How would you describe the performance of this when used before applying makeup (lets say a liquid, with fingers or brushes)?

This product really blew me away
This product really surprised me.... out of the tube, it feels really light and watery, like it wouldn't do anything for you, but once you put it on your face, it immediately sinks in... you really do get that plumping feeling that other products say they do, but don't. I have extremely dry skin fro...

I want to like this, but I can't
I received this product for free to try and review, and I was very excited! Water Gels are quite the rage and living in the Northeast where the wind hurts your face in the winter I was very excited to have a layer of defense. However, as hard as I want to like this product I just can't, and I have b...

Best moisturizer!
I have issues with dry spots and acne. Definition of combination skin. This moisturizer has not only never broken me out but also helped my skin survive through a couple colds now where usually my nose would get very dry from tissues.
Love it
Been using this product for the last 4yrs. This gives my skin relief when my rosacea acts up. Love this product.
yes I would by this product again
this product so smooth on my face .
Over priced for what it is.
This really isnt a bad product, but the price point is ridiculous for the size. It is a light non-greasy formula, i saw no "calming properties". Any fragrance free lotion from a less expensive brand is just as good, such as Neutrogena.
Fungal acne safe, but hate the scent
Age 18-29
Skin Type Dry
There are so few moisturizers on the market that don't irritate/feed fungal acne, and I was very happy to see that this one was, which is why I purchased it! But the scent was so strong that I genuinely had to wash it off.
