Comments about Mario Badescu Enzyme Cleansing Gel:

i have sensitive, oily, acne prone skin ... this cleanser has helped all of that (except the sensitivity) immensely. I use it every night (just micellar water in the mornings). the only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I do have to follow it up with micellar water to remove ALL of my makeup at night, but we all have our flaws ;)

I love this facewash. I have really tried everything from Clinique, Murad, Proactiv, Rodan and Fields and this keeps my skin clean and blemish free. I use it morning and night with a Clarisonic cleaner. I am not against spending more money for good skincare, but this is both - good and very affordable, which is great!

Comments about Mario Badescu Enzyme Cleansing Gel:

I really like this product in the fact that it really brightens my skin. My skin is usually dull, and it fixes that problem. The only con - it has fragrance. Smells great, but it does irritate my skin. I think if the fragrance were removed it would be the perfect product. I use the enzyme mask, and the mask doesn't seem to be irritating (maybe because it's not something I use daily). I would recommend just getting the mask, and skipping the gel cleanser, if you have sensitive skin. If your skin isn't acne prone or sensitive, this would be perfect for you. I do love MB products.

I started using this when I got a travel size bottle of it as a gift and immediately fell in love! It smells so good but nothing that would irritate anyone, it's very light. It's helped a lot with my acne and I don't feel like it dries out my face but my face doesn't get as oily anymore as well!

                  • Q:

My skin is combination dry and oily I believe and I suffer from really congested pores or black heads on my nose that I've never been able to fully get rid of. I also get small red bumps and blackheads on my cheek bones sometimes. What are good products to use as far as cleansers, toners and moisturizers. Treatment I'm thinking the silver powered sounds promising I just don't want to over dry my skin

The kit also includes the Drying Mask and Drying Cream to target those areas of concern. Enzyme Cleansing Gel features fruit enzymes and alpha hydroxy acids to dissolve away makeup, oil, and impurities that can lead to clogged pores. This would a great option for you if you have combo or slightly oily skin.
If you have oily, acne prone skin, our Acne Facial Cleanser is a better option for you. http://www.ulta.com/acne-facial-cleanser?productId=xlsImpprod6200757

Recently I have been breaking out a lot more than usual - large white heads, one painful bump under the skins as well as small whiteheads and blackheads. I also mark easily, so I have a lot of red marks from old pimples. However, my skin can get dried out if products are too harsh, especially with winter coming up. Should I use this cleanser or the acne cleanser? I'd say my skin type is combination. What other products do you recommend to complete my skincare routine (including exfoliant and masks please!)? I just started using the drying lotion as well.

Our Enzyme Cleansing Gel is a daily cleanser that is non-foaming and relies on fruit enzymes to gently exfoliate while cleansing. Our Glycolic Foaming Cleanser features glycolic acid for enhanced exfoliation and should be incorporated into your skin care routine 2-3 times a week, depending on your skin type.

I am 16 and I have combination skin. Sometime really oily. Sometimes really dry. Once in a while I will get dry patches or a very oily t-zone. I have acne prone skin as well. Is this a good cleanser to use? My skin isn't as crazy as it sounds, but I've always used cleansers with dissolving beads in them. I thought maybe that was the problem so I threw them away. I also need a moisturizer. Please help!

The alpha hydroxy acids found naturally in the fruit extracts will provide a more gentle form of exfoliation than harsh beads. This will be a better option for you. You should pair it up with the Cucumber Cleansing Lotion (Item #: 2210015) and Oil Free Moisturizer SPF 17 (Item #: 220985).

Enzyme Cleansing Gel and Glycolic Acid Toner are fine to use together. You may also want to think about incorporating our Glycolic Foaming Cleanser (Item #: 2209926) into your skin care regimen 2-3 times per week to help with the pore congestion. Also, our Drying Cream (Item #: 2209806) is formulated to target those small under the surface bumps.

Mario Badescu Enzyme Cleansing Gel is a great option to use several times a week, but due to the exfoliating properties of the fruit enzymes, I would not recommend having her use it twice a day if she has sensitive or dry skin. Keep our Drying Lotion on hand for the occasional pimple (http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod65002240).
