Wash away makeup and surface debris, leaving skin clean and refreshed with Mario Badescu's best selling non-foaming gel cleanser. Perfect for all skin types, the cleanser features fruit enzymes and alpha hydroxy acids (found naturally in papya and grapefruit extracts) to gently exfoliate the buidlup of dead skin cells that can block pores and cause blemishes. Skin is left healthy and rejuvenated.
Twice daily, gently massage cleanser in circular motions on wet skin. Leave on for 1-2 minutes to allow AHAs more time to dissolve away surface buildup, then rinse thoroughly with warm water. Follow with toner or astringent. If product gets into eyes, rinse well with water.

Comments about Mario Badescu Enzyme Cleansing Gel:

Have been a pretty steady Clinique 3-step user for years, though I use Philosophy's Purity for a cleanser and have usually used it on my Mia II brush. Wanted to switch things up and bought the MB enzyme cleanser and glycolic acid toner. I use a micellar water to remove makeup since the enzyme gel isn't great (neither is Purity, really) but it gets what the micellar misses. And when followed up with the glycolic toner, WOW! I love what is has done for my skin, which is brighter, more taught, and more hydrated. I have since added the MB Vitamin C serum and am very happy with the overall combo of cleanser, toner and serum.

Comments about Mario Badescu Enzyme Cleansing Gel:

Mario Basescu is one of my favorite brands, but I was so disappointed when I tried this. When I tried to wash my makeup off, it felt like I just rubbed olive oil all over my face and it wouldn't come off. I had to wash my face about 4 times just to get my foundation off. After the 5th time, my eye makeup still wasn't off. The amount of makeup left on my cotton pad with my toner was gross! I had to go back and scrub, then use a face mask because this stuff really doesn't work.

I bought this when Ulta had its 21 days of beauty. I loved the face spray, so I was excited to try the wash. Sad to say I was highly disappointed. After I used this to wash my face, I still had makeup on! It feels like it sits on top of your skin, oil, and makeup. It never mixes well to clean your face. Pass on this one.

                Awesome Cleanser!

Comments about Mario Badescu Enzyme Cleansing Gel:

I've used a couple Mario Badescu products before, so when I ran out of micellar water and needed a new makeup remover, I decided to look around to fix up my skincare regimen. I found this cleanser and decided to give it a go. I can't use it the same way I use micellar water, but it's for the best. Now I use lotion to get all my makeup off and use this cleanser to get rid of all the residue left over from everything. My skin has never felt so clean, and it doesn't get dry. Plus, I don't have to go buy another product for exfoliation, because this one has AHAs. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the smell is a little strange. It has an old people house smell, but it's not enough to push me away from the product. I love it.

                • Q:

I took the skin analysis for Mario badescu and it said to use the enzyme cleansing gel. I have combination skin I usually get a couple of cystic acne and just regular pimples I also have a lot of blackheads on my nose. Should I use this? because salicylic acid doesn't work for my skin. I also have some acne scars any recommendations?

                    A:

The Enzyme Cleansing Gel would be a great alternative if you cannot use products with salicylic acid. This daily cleanser will gently cleanse the skin and help reduce build up and congestion. To help reduce discoloration, we recommend our Glycolic Foaming Cleanser 1-3 times per week depending on your skin type as your exfoliant. The Glycolic Foaming Cleanser will help reduce breakouts and congestion while minimizing discoloration from acne scars or sun spots. http://www.ulta.com/glycolic-foaming-cleanser?productId=xlsImpprod6200753

                    A:

The Enzyme Cleansing Gel is a great option for daily cleansing on combination to oily skin types. Papaya and grapefruit extracts are exfoliating alpha hydroxy acids that help prevent dulling build-up that can cause blackheads and pimples. With that being said, this product does not target discoloration specifically. You can supplement this cleanser with our Glycolic Foaming Cleanser 1-3 times per week depending on your skin type. This cleanser will help exfoliate the skin and reduce discoloration from acne scars or hyperpigmentation. Our Vitamin C Serum is also a great option every other evening to help further reduce discoloration.
