Most Helpful Positive Review Quality It's great. So much better than my Chi dryer. Waste of money on my Chi. This dryer dries my hair so much faster. Sound and performance is salon quality. First use my husband said it must be a good dryer. That was just based on the sound of the dryer. My naturally wavy/curly hair is so smooth, soft and straight when using Carrera2. Did not even need to use a curling iron after blow out. Incredible. Only applied mouse and leave in conditioner to ends. Hair looks so healthy. I only use the medium setting. High setting is really hot.
Con is that it smooths and straightens my hair so much I don't get as much body to top. I do have wavy hair but medium fine. I've tried Drybar and this dryer performs even better than Drybar in my opinion.
Most Helpful Critical Review I liked it at first.. I have had this hair dryer for less than a year and I was really impressed with it for the first couple months. However, seemingly for no reason, the extremely narrow slide-on concentrator started flying off when I would first turn the hair dryer on and start drying my hair. I could get it to go back on and stay on while I finished drying my hair the first few times this occurred, but then it started coming off every single time. I have now stopped even trying to use the extremely narrow slide-on concentrator, but without it, my hair is basically just frizz.

i dont usually dry my hair because im not that great and i find it always takes me way too long. after some research on what hair dryers are the best for quick dry time, i purchased this one. i was able to dry my thick hair in only 14 minutes on the low setting! HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Good buy for and worth the $ 5

The reason I bought this blow dryer is because I lost mine and was so sad because it was a really great it was quite and dried my hair super fast.I couldn't remember the brand so I set out to find one that could compare to my lost old one and something that also fit my budget. After looking at many models and brands I came across this one and the reviews were pretty good the most complaints were about the weight. To me the weight is not an issue it isn't super heavy I really don't think it's heavy at all. It dries my hair so fast so that is a super plus it's a little louder then the one I lost but nothing overwhelming. All around I would say this is a great blow dryer has six settings which I love because I use them all. Hopefully it lasts me a long time but so far I am a happy customer. Definitely recommend.
Tangled Mess 1
701lady from Fargo
My hairdryer I've had for 10 years just died and against my better judgment i tried this brand and it's AWFUL. The hairdryer itself is heavy and hard to use. But it made my fine hair a ratted mess. I'll be returning it for sure.
I would buy again and would recommend to a friend! 5

I use the attachment that comes with it and a paddle brush. Because the dryer is strong you must control your hair with a brush or you get tangled.
Love it! Very powerful and dries hair fast! 5

I love this blow dryer! Works so well. Its very powerful, but also doesn't have the stinging heat you get sometimes with cheaper blow dryers. My hair looks much more shiny and healthy.
Great for thick, long hair 5

I purchased this to replace my "drug store" hair dryer. They usually cost $30 or so, so I thought even if it only lasts a year. I could get a new one each year for the price of this one. But this is worth every penny. I'm able to dry my hair in about 1/2 the time. I look like I'm salon blow dried every day, and I don't get as much moisture back causing frizziness as I did with my old drier. Don't hesitate. Purchase today!

I bought this to replace a cheaper dryer that singed my hair. I think some of the reviews stated this dryer didn't get hot enough for them but I'm mostly using it on the lower heat setting because the high setting gets too hot for my scalp. My hair dries quickly even on the lower setting and comes out very soft without any frizz. I'm really happy with this dryer & I wish I had bought it sooner. It is a bit heavier than the cheap dryer I had but not so heavy that it's a problem. The overall size is good, I would say a medium size dryer, so I definitely will be taking it with me when I travel.

I highly recommend the Babyliss Pro Carrera2 hair dryer! I have used it for about 5-6 days a week for over 2yrs now. It's Porcelain Ceramic which evenly distributes the heat to lessen hot spots, "Far-Infrared" heat which is supposed to help protect our hairs natural luster and its Ionic to cut frizz-causing static. Its a slight step up price-wise but it's The Best dryer without spending multiple hundreds on the one we all dream about owning one day!
Great dryer 4

I've owned this dryer for about 6 months and I would say I'm happy with it but not over the moon estatic about it. I can't say it's the best hair dryer I've ever used but it's up there. Probably the best hair dryer I've ever owned. I did my best to compare ratings and price and I think for the price your getting a great product. I like the feel of it in my hand and it dries my hair fairly quick. I have thin hair and I don't feel like it's damaging at all. Not sure if it could dry thick hair very fast if that's what your wanting though.
Great product 5

BEST HAIRDRYER EVER 5
The green-eyed girl next door from Leawood, KS
Seriously, take it from a skeptic on looking for the best products in an industry that so many people say "oh this is the besssst product ever!!" and it definitely is not--that this product is! I am a changed woman! I have super thick and wavy in the back hair that takes at least a whole day to air dry! I would highly recommend this product to anyone, and I mean anyone who needs a powerful, great using, and beautifully designed hair dryer!!!
Too hot for fine hair 2
EnnGee from Orlando, FL
Bought this blow dryer bc of the good reviews, and I thought ceramic would be good for my hair. It gets the job done pretty fast, which is great. But I've found that for my fine, color-treated hair, it gets too hot even on warm, and causes visible damage. It nearly gave me a heart attack one time because it started smoking while I was using it, but I realized it was burning the attachment and nothing was wrong mechanically. If you need that extra heat, then this is a great dryer. But if you have damaged hair to begin with, you may want to look elsewhere.
Love this dryer 5

I love how it leaves my hair after I use it. It dries my hair fast and my hair look so healthy.
My new favorite! 4
Sarahno86 from New England
This is my new favorite hairdryer! It is on the expensive side, but totally worth every penny so far. My last was a cheap Conair model from Wmart, which broke within weeks of purchase & took me over 30min to dry my 32" hair. The BabylissPRO Carrera2 does the job much better, while doing less damage to my hair & while only taking about 10-15min to completely dry all my hair! It leaves my hair silky smooth & all the frizz/flyaways I usually deal with are not an issue anymore. I will buy this again.
Bad for your hair 1
Rg from Dallas
My hair has gotten drier and thinner and just unhealthy looking and feeling after using this for a couple of months. I bought it after being impressed with how hot it got at my hair salon's dry bar, but, over time, this seems to be a detriment. Lately, I've started using it on warm, but still feels super straw-like after drying. Also, the dryer nozzle will fly off anymore like the heat melted the fit and it just won't stay on now. I went back to my Solano dryer and already it looks healthier after 2 days.
I recommended this hair dryer! 4

I personally like how the dryer runs. It's not super loud or heavy. I like how long the cord is. I also feel like this helps with frizz compared to my old hair dryer. I would highly recommended.
Bought a year ago and it just stopped working 1
Kate from Seattle
I'm not sure what happen but after a year of having this I went to use it and it just wouldn't turn on. I really liked this dryer I'm bummed. I will get something else maybe not ceramic.
I would not buy this product again 2

I have had this blowdryer for a couple of months now. This was a great product at first. However, the attachment no longer stays on the blowdry and is essentially a projectile. It is worse when you are using "high," but still comes off on the "low" setting as well. Don't waste your money!
Happy so far 5
Amanda from Fayetteville, Arkansas
I have been using this blow dryer for a week and so far I am pleased. I was looking for a dryer that would dry my hair quicker and not cause damage. I also wanted a dryer that felt comfortable in my hand and was easy to use. I feel like so far this dryer meets all those needs. I have fine, thin, oily hair and I use this dryer on the cool high setting and it dries my hair in half the time with smooth and healthy looking results than my last dyer (it was a conair). Although the price was much higher than I wanted to spend, I went for it because I had reward points and a gift card, so far I feel it was worth the price paid.

Perfect temperature, gets the job done pretty quick.
Died 4 days after warranty expired 4
Little Miss No Name from Los Angeles
I liked the way it worked. I have short hair which only takes a few minutes to dry. I picked it because it has 3 speeds which is nice for when I wash the dog.
It stopped working 3 days after warranty expired. Started spitting out small hot things & then smoking. To be fair I have dropped it a few times but I expected longer life.
I love love LOVE MY new BaBylissPro blow dryer!! 5

No more frizzy hair. My hair is super smooth & soft. My hair even seems style better, like it knows it has a great product being used on it. 😉
Gets way too hot! 1

I have had babyliss blow dryers before, and have loved them! i have super thick hair and have always used them on the hottest and highest settings. this one got so hot it melted the plastic on the concentrator and the bristles on my brush. so disappointed!
Worst blow dryer I've ever used. 1
Bonni from Dayton Ohio
I reallllly truly wanted to love this blow dryer. I have loved all of my other Babyliss products. However, this dryer was one of the worst I have ever used. It leaves my hair feeling coarse and dry. It looks like straw afterwords. (It straightens horribly with my Babyliss straightener after I have dried it with this dryer) While drying my hair it makes it so tangly even with a good product and brushing it while doing it. I have never had this issue with the dozens of dryers I have used in the past. My hair is usually very soft and shiny after it's dried that is not the case with this dryer. The speed settings are also very terrible. The low is too low and the high is way way too high. It also makes my hair stink after I use it. Again, have never had that issue with any other blow dryer.
It is also very top heavy. So if you have a lot of hair and it takes you a while your arm will get tired of holding it above your head. I would NOT recommend buying this unless you somehow are able to test it out before you purchase. I will be donating it. Do not waste your money.

This is the best hair dryer I have ever purchased. It's lightweight & fast.
