Most Helpful Positive Review Works Like A Charm!
I've tried a lot of drugstore dry shampoos, and none of them delivered. Tired of using baby powder to 'refresh' my hair when I skip a wash, I acquired this Kenra Platinum Dry Shampoo, and it worked fabulously from the first application! I flipped my head to apply the product (for extra volume), then let the product dry, and then lightly brushed my hair to spread the product (The consistency of hairspray). Gone was any sign of oiliness and my hair had great volume! I will continue to use this product. It's a little pricey, but you DO get what you pay for.
Most Helpful Critical Review Terrible
I love using dry shampoos to revive my hair style or use on second day hair. I really enjoy other Kenra styling products but this one was just terrible for me.
The spray was really inconsistent and the powder came out in heavy waves. So much so that it left white chunky blobs of dry shampoo at my roots that no matter how much I "scrubbed" or brushed, they would not disappear. Then I would get long waves of just air or clear spray that smelled good but would somehow make my hair shiny and greasy looking. Not exactly what you're looking for when you're using a dry shampoo. It's like the product never really mixed properly in the can.
I've tried this multiple times and the result is the same each time. I hate throwing 1/2 used products away but this one was not worth passing on to a friend. I'm not sure if I just got a bad can but I won't be re-purchasing to find out. This one was a bummer but I still love Kenra's Dry Texture Spray and Hairsprays. Those are definitely worth a try!

I used this dry shampoo maybe 5 times before it stopped spraying. I tried to make it work and spray upside down but it only released a very strong hairpray-like scented liquid on my hair. It came out in drips. I purchased it a while back but I don't think that should be a reason for it to stop spraying. Because it's been a while since I purchased it, unfortunately, my $ is going in the trash with that one. I DO love Kenra products and like how they smell, but this one was just not a good one. I love using their fine mist blow dry spray (highly recommend that) and the after blow dry silkening mist as I have long, fine, easily oily hair!
Sprays white powder!
Lisa from Waco Texas
I really love kenra products. When I started using this spray shampoo immediately white powder comes out! I did shake before the use. I bought me a cheap herbal essance (I am aware I did not spell that correctly), the cheaper dry shampoo is ten times better!
Favorite of the 6 brands I've tried
Aly from Columbus, OH
I used to be the girl that washed my hair every single day because it's very straight and fine and got oily and stringy by the next day. I started trying out different dry shampoos and I've gradually been able to go longer and longer without washing (up to 3 or 4 days now!). I started out with some I got as free samples, IGK Direct Flight (liked this one), Tarte Hair Goals (didn't feel like it did anything), tried the less expensive option Batiste (it's ok in a pinch), tried a "fancy" brand, Ouai (super strong smell, but it worked ok, seemed to run out fast?), tried Verb from my hairstylist (liked this one too, just not my fav smell). Kenra has always been my favorite hair care line, I love how it smells, sulfate free, always get good results, etc., so when I saw the dry shampoo, I had to try it. I love it, it works and smells great without being too pungent. I have very dark brown hair and when used properly it doesn't leave my hair looking dusty. If you get too close to the hair and it shoots a clump of powder out, that's on you. Although, even when I've done that, if you massage it in a little it starts absorbing oil and the white disappears. After styling I like to finish with the Kenra Silkening Gloss on my ends because they tend to dry out while the roots get oily. Overall, love this dry shampoo.
More like a cheap hairspray than a dry shampoo
Heather from Philadelphia
I'm not sure if my can was defective, but this product acted more like a cheap hairspray for me than a dry shampoo. I have fine, oily prone hair, and the powder of a dry shampoo is what I need on my clean hair to keep it from getting oily throughout the day, which this product I felt like had no powder what so ever. Every time I went to use this product, the spray was wet (like a hairspray) and made my hair look more dirty and made it completely unmanageable. Once the wetness dried, my hair was crunchy and a flakey residue was left on each individual strand of hair, making it look like I have dandruff! I would not recommend this product nor repurchase.
5 star product, 1 star packaging

Kenra Platinum Dry Shampoo is my absolute FAVORITE dry shampoo, but my last few bottles have quit spraying with at least 50% of the product left to use. I think I used my most recent bottle maybe 3 times before it quit working. I have tried washing the nozzle off with hot water with no success. Sadly, will not be purchasing again.
I really like it!

I don't usually like dry shampoo, but love this one. You need to shake it well to avoid clumps, but as long as you do it's great! It smells awesome too!
Happycupcake from MD
Awful. Comes out clear with barely anything, and then a blast of white powder. The powder chunks get all over your face and clothes, and you look like you have dandruff! This is worst dry shampoo I've ever used. Such a bummer, because I usually like Kenra products.

So I'll start off by saying I absolutely LOVE Kenra products, from strengthening sealer to hot spray to just about everything. This was far from a hit. It leaves specks of white all over your hair even after you rub it in and brush it through. The residue is so thick, your hair feels even dirtier. The smell is so strong and gets even more potent if you workout with the dry shampoo in. Would not recommend to anyone honestly. Maybe I got a bad bottle, don't know but a good product
Okay for a texture spray
Emmie from North Carolina
Bought this product to use as a dry shampoo. I have thin, wavy, dark blonde, veryy oily hair, and would like to start washing every other day instead of every day to help prevent further damage. My mom is a hair stylist and recommended the brand to me but I was not impressed with this product. It sprays on very wet and has a very unpleasant texture on fine hair. I do however use it after I put my hair up for extra volume.

I bought this when it was on sale because I love other Kenra products and I love dry shampoo. I was very disappointed with this. It's very heavy and leaves noticeable white/grey residue that takes forever to rub in. Also, this does not have any fragrance to it at all — it seems like rubbing alcohol.
I highly suggest Redken Pillow Proof Blow Dry Two Day Extender Dry Shampoo or Hask Chia Seed Volumizing Dry Shampoo

I love the smell of this product I feel that it does exactly what's described! Clean and Fresh hair.

Not for this brunette.

Not for the dark brunettes. Used it last minute prior to going to meet clients, and was horrified after soraying it on. Ended up being a hat day.
Not my first choice

I use several Kendra styling products and love them so I've been disappointed with the effectiveness of this dry shampoo. I have fine, medium-thick hair that will lay flat to my head without styling, which I hate. Rather than daily washings just to blow dry my hair to get some umph, I started using dry shampoos on day 2 after regular shampoos. I can barely get through day 2 with this dry shampoo without my hair feeling dirty and greasy, regardless of how well I brush it through. I have found a different dry shampoo that I can actually use on day 2 and it will even get me through day 3 without reuse, even during Austin's humid days. Sadly, I won't continue to add this Kendra product to my regimen.

I go 3-5 days without washing my hair!
Works great.. but
VeggieGal from Huntsville, AL
I love this product personally, but I can see why some wouldn't be a fan. It does have a strange texture in the hair, but I don't mind it. It delivers what it states and I can tolerate a weird feeling until my next wash day. I also have dark hair and it didn't leave a white cast.. but what I really love about this product is the volume it instantly gives. I wasn't expecting that when I first tried it.

For what I paid for it, it is not worthy.
This is the worst dry shampoo ever.
Chelsea from Louisiana
This product was 100% a disappointment. Will never buy it again.
cpamomof2 from Tulsa
I have tried dry shampoo in the past and had mixed results. I've always washed my hair with traditional shampoo, daily. Recently, it was brought to my attention that my oily scalp may actually be caused by my daily shampoo regimen so I have begun skipping a day in between washings. This product was recommended to me by a styling professional and it is great! My hair actually looks better on the in between days when I use this now.
I would not recommend

Very excited to try this as I am a big fan of the Kenra shampoo and products; very disappointed that a majority of it was wasted. It would not spray and there was not a way to unclog it.
Great for second or third day hair!
shoeshopper from MN
I use this dry shampoo for reviving second or third day hair style. Adds volume with just a few short sprays to roots and then brush through. Works well and smells great.
Make sure you brush it out
Krystal from Idaho
This is the only dry shampoo that turns my hair extremely white. Make sure you brush your hair out over and over so there isn't any white residue. Even when I do, I can see a dingy gray shade to my hair. And it feels very thick on my hair. Dries my hair out. Not a fan of this.
*Cher-hair* from Parma, Ohio
This does not work for brunettes! It's very wet when you spray it. It leaves white residue in your hair, not the kind you can rub off or brush out. The white residue clings to individual hairs and makes it look like you have gray hairs. More of a sticky texturizing spray than a dry shampoo. I think this would work as a volumizing/texturizing spray for blondes.
Nikki from Charlotte
I love that this product works very well AND has a very low smell/fragrance; which can be an issue with my allergies when it comes to most dry shampoos. My issue is that I never get more than half way thru the can when it stops working. I have tried returning to Ulta and always get push back from the managers; they tell me I need to complain to Kenra about it. Well, I feel like the managers should deal with this, not me. The product is over $20, I should get full use of it.

I work nights so I usually take a shower before work. This product is great to use when I have something to do during the day that I want to smell good for but not take a whole shower. We all know how to use dry shampoo, this works the same as the others. The two pros that I like the most is it smells better than my shampoo and perfume...I get more compliments when I use the dry shampoo! The other pro is that it doesn't leave your scalp white from the product and doesn't completely dry it out. Love!
