This review is a hard one! I am always trying to purchase Kenra hair products but every time I scan them on Yuka, they are rated poor. I have a scalp condition so if it is not close to or 100/100 I do not purchase and I am a healthy conscious girl when it comes to any skin, face and body care. Sadly..., this product is rated 25/100 due to artificial fragrances, several irritants and endocrine disruptors. This is a part of those products that you wish the company took out all of the bad ingredients and kept the good ones and resold. But I still took a chance on this shampoo and conditioner combo because I wanted to try it out and make a review and I so happened to be doing a double bleach process and toner on my healthy curls. I used the Shampoo and Conditioner combo several times throughout my hair process and this hair care set protected my curls and color and paired wonderfully with my hair color change and post color curly hair routine. I am in love with this set and a ton of sets claim to protect hair integrity and longevity of hair color and actually do not. So this set surprised me and outperformed most brands and I am a 10 year hairstylist and pro colorist. Another cool feature to this set is a protective twist top that locks the top on both the shampoo and conditioner and that is excellent if you want to keep your shampoo and conditioner away from being used by your children or whomever you may share a bathroom with. I truly enjoyed that innovative feature. The smell is so good like a bunch of healthy berries but it is actually Moringa seed, oat, coconut and grapes included in this vegan formula. I truly think if the irritants were taken out this product would have a higher performance and be a viral and staple product in all color treated hair. I am obsessed with the lather and scent of the shampoo and it is a gentle cleanser which is needed after any color process. I am glad I own this product but for me it feels like a guilty pleasure because those ingredients are compromising your overall health and scalp and hair health.
