Because the 5 in 1 provides light conditioning, you may want to use the No Frizz Smoothing Styler in place of the cream as a base prior to styling. If you enjoy the cream I would layer the cream over the 5 in 1. Is this product a replacement for the t.b.d. multitasking that came in a black tube?

PHD 5-1 works best with heat to gain the volumizing benefits it offers. TBD can be used as a deconstructing product if you want to enhance texture and layers to your style.
