Q
Will this product stain fair skin with an orange hue after oxidizing on the skin overnight?
Asked by Pam D
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
Hi there! To avoid orange staining, please ensure you apply no more than a pea sized amount of product. We recommend applying Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% as the last step in your PM regimen at least one hour before bedtime to ensure the product has fully absorbed into the skin. We hope this helps! Was this answer helpful to you
Q
How do I avoid the product pilling on my skin? It acts like an exfoliant right away, but come to find out, that's the product producing little balls all over my face, not dead skin. Do I use the product on dry skin vs wet skin or vice versa?
Asked by Bamalynn
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
It sounds like you may be applying too much product! Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% offers a 23% powder content so a very small amount should be used. We suggest applying VC 23% as the final step of your PM routine to begin, and we always recommend allowing all product to absorb before applying next steps. We hope this helps! Was this answer helpful to you

Changed my skin!

I started using 2 weeks ago. I am 50 yrs old. I have combo skin with acne, dry patches, age spots, acne scars, crepey under my eyes, wrinkles on my forehead and crows feet. UGH! I saw this in a beauty blog and at this point would try anything! But $6?!?! It must be witchcraft! And it is! My face ha...

Awful texture

I am not sure of the effect of this product as it doesn't seem to absorb due to its poor formulation. Let me start with the beginning: Very runny, drips everywhere if you aren't careful. I can get passed that. Grainy when comes in contact with skin, feels like sandpaper. I understand this is due ...

Smells like self tanner

Submitted 5 days ago

By Veloelle

From SoCal

The serum is recommended to be used at night, which is good because its like spreading sand on your face. On my skin, it stinks like self tanning lotion, yuck! Ill use it at night, but will be looking for a different product.

Good product, always use it

This product is incredible! I've seen several people talking about the smell, claiming it stings! Yes, the scent is strong, but Vitamin C is meant to be used in the morning, not at night... (or rather, yes, you *can* use it at night due to its composition), but the smell isn't unbearable! People whose skin is already damaged or prone to acne shouldn't be using this product! Instead, you should go see a dermatologist don't blame the product! Another thing: drinking water is essential!!!!!! This product isn't going to work miracles if you only drink one glass of water a day and spend the rest of the time downing soda.

Terrible texture

Submitted 13 days ago

By M

From Washington, DC

I couldn't get past the terrible gritty texture. I used it for a couple weeks and didn't notice a difference. I couldn't bear to keep at it longer cause of the texture.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

Great Product/Use With Caution

Submitted 15 days ago

While this is a great effective product, I would use it with great care and caution-especially if you have sensitive skin. I wait at least a half an hour after washing my face before applying it. And never use this right after exfoliating with a washcloth or cleansing brush-because it will make your skin turn red and sting like crazy.. Also, be careful how much you use. If you use too much the product will pill by the time you get to your moisturizer. But if I put a drop of facial oil into my moisturizer that helps with the pilling. On the plus side, this cream really does a great job of breaking down my dark spots and making my complexion more even!

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

One of the best

I have a few darker spots on my cheeks and after 3 weeks, saw a noticeable difference in those areas. I spot treat at night and while there's a texture to the cream & a tingling sensation, none of that bothers me to stop using. For years I've been investing in Sunday Riley Vitamin C and I never saw the results like the one this cream is giving me.
