Is it overkill to use this after the Ultra Plush Rich cream? Or would you recommend I swap out the cream for the ointment? (I have very dry skin due to rosacea.)

Q
For daytime use, would you apply before or after sunscreen?
Asked by B
Official Answer By Peach & Lily - Brand Engage
Hello! You should apply a light layer of this before SPF to lock in your skincare. However, if you want to use this as a "makeup primer" you should wait 15-20 minutes to apply Velvet Biome after SPF to allow it to properly set.Was this answer helpful to you

Q
Do I use this before or after the glass skin refining serum?
Asked by Be
Official Answer By Peach & Lily - Brand Engage
The Velvet Biome Smoothing ointment should be used either after your moisturizer to lock everything in or as your moisturizer. The routine should be Cleanse > Tone (optional) > Essence (optional) > Serum > Eye Cream > Moisturizer (or simply the ointment) > Ointment. Hope this helps! Was this answer helpful to you

Absolute Best! Must-Buy for Dry Skin!

I cannot say enough good things about this product. With so many skincare products on the market, rarely do you find something that is a real gamechanger. This ointment is that-- a true innovation with multiple uses; now a staple in my routine. Peach and Lily, please never stop making this! I have d...

Great for slugging

Submitted 23 days ago

By Shali

From Orange, Ca

I recently purchased this silky ointment online and knew I would just love it, and I do! I have mature skin and frequently slug as a final step to my nightly skin care routine. It is so smooth and has lots of great ingredients. I alternate slugging between this and Cerave ointment. This product is not as thick as Cerave or other ointments and appears to soak in my skin whereas most ointments sit on skin. Also, the container has a push down dispenser that not only lets you dispense a lot or a little depending on how hard you press but keeps the product clean and sanitary.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

It is an ointment and feels like it. Somewhat absorbent. My skin does not feel clean after application. Has an odd feel to it. Not seeing much difference.

Move Over Petroleum Jelly!

Submitted 1 month ago

By Gen

From WI

I have eczema that flares up on my face and neck and I am no stranger to occlusives (usually marketed as balms/ointments). I've tried most of the popular ones and none were ever better or more comfortable to use than petroleum jelly so I just dealt with getting it in my hair and the mild acne it caused. I took a chance on this during a sale, and I will never be without it. It offers the level of occlusion I need as a last step when my skin is having trouble retaining moisture. Because it isn't petroleum based, I haven't been getting milia like I do with pet. jelly. It also has glycerin, which my skin personally loves, and barrier supporting ingredients; my very reactive skin is soothed by this and seems less inflamed a few hours after application. I have used this on healthy skin for maintenance as well as on inflamed dermatitis patches and there is no burning, and it accelerates healing for me. I also love the pump lid, so I'm not sticking my fingers in the jar. It has the consistency of a petroleum jelly based product without being as sticky or thick. I'm 37, with sensitive, dry, easily dehydrated skin and live in the upper Midwest of the U.S. I have eczema but currently don't treat it with any prescription products.

Great for dry skin

Submitted 1 month ago

By Sam

From NYC

I had a dry patch of skin on the top of my nose that I was struggling to get rid of and this balm took care of it! It's thick, kind of like a Vaseline texture but less sticky. I would only use it at night.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
