The formula has a unique blend of rice, konjac, and other extracts that result in some variation in appearance, including some spots that may be more opaque white. Some of the main differences are that the Glass Skin Facial Polisher is a powder formula and needs to be combined with water to activate, whereas the Rice Dough Smoothing Facial Scrub can be used directly to the face from the jar. Our Glass Skin Facial Polisher uses grains and salicylic acid for both a light physical and automatic exfoliation while the Rice Dough Smoothing Facial Scrub is only physical exfoliation for the skin. This Rice Dough Smoothing Facial Scrub tends to be more gritty and feel like a traditional grain exfoliator whereas the Glass Skin Facial Polish as a smoother texture that can be adjusted with water and uses BHAs as well. It will help to soften the appearance of hyperpigmentation and acne scars, as all exfoliators do but there is nothing specifically targeting these concerns in this product. We recommend to treat you pigmentation and scaring with leave on products vs wash off products. If you are interested in targeting these concerns we have several options within our assortment. Our Transparen-C Pro Spot Treatment and our Transparen-C Pro Brightening Moisturizer are specifically formulated to target the look of hyperpigmentation and acne scars. Another excellent option for a nighttime treatment is the Retinal For All Renewing Serum. This uses retinaldehyde which is shown to effectively target these concerns. I expected more for the price I paid
I shouldve returned it but i wanted to give it a try because of the reviews. The smell was unpleasant. I liked the grains but struggled when washing it off tbere was so much and wouks get stuck on my eyelashes. It did not help reduce my pores whatsoever.
Sorry I Waited So Long
I was reluctant to buy this because there are so many cheaper exfoliators on the market, but I decided to try it when it was on sale. I would pay full price for this now that I've used it. My face feels so smooth and soft. I kept checking the mirror because I couldnt get over how nicely my makeup went on.
Perfection! Exactly what I was looking for.
The pliable product works well, & moves over my skin to easily exfoliate, even where I need it most. My skin feels much softer, more nourished each time. Especially during the brutal dry, winter months. A small amount goes a long way, and used consistently & correctly 3+ times a week has made a wonderful difference for me.
Not what I expected
I wanted to like this scrub, but it wasn't what I expected. The scent is unusual and not very pleasant, and the texture surprised me—I expected something more granular, but any grit is very minimal. I tried it on both dry and wet skin: on dry skin it felt more like a mild peel, while on wet skin it had more of an emollient, creamy feel. It does smooth the skin, but if you're looking for a traditional scrub with noticeable exfoliating particles, this may not be it.
Gentle enough for sensitive skin
This is not a nuclear option for exfoliation but I would say it delivers what it claims to do. I have pustular rosacea, eczema prone skin. I needed something to help with some build up but couldn't apply a chemical exfoliant after treatments and I had some angry pustules so I was expecting some irriation. Was pleasantly surpised my skin was calm the morning after. Will continue to try this on an as needed basis!
