This gem of an eyeliner is further proof that quality does not have to cost the house. I've been looking up and down, left and right for a REALLY dark brown eyeliner. I tried just about everything: high end, low end, well-known brands, obscure brands, cheap, not so cheap, you name it. Most are just too darned creamy, which means they smudge easily ... both in the good and bad sense. None of the ones I tried is really dark brown. They all say they are, but they fall short.
Enter this wonderful product. Black brown (and they mean it), goes on easily, does NOT budge, stays on forever. I have only three minor complaints. a) it's a mechanical pencil, which I usually hate because they are darned nearly impossible to sharpen. b) it's not so easy to create a smokey look, so I have to work really fast. c) it's supposed to have a sharpener at the other end, but mine has nothing. It's empty. Maybe I got a defective one.
However, these reasons are not enough to give it less than 5 stars because the performance is really good.
PS: I found a way to sharpen it to a fine point. I use any other sharpener from a mechanical pencil (in my case, Revlon) and I turn the pencil counter clock. I got a lovely point. Partly because since the formula isn't so soft, it sharpens beautifully and does not break or crumble like all the others.
I heartily recommend this pencil. And at the price, it's a real steal. I want to get the purple one now.
I can't seem to make this work. I'm not sure if it's the color being an isolated problem child but this just seems too waxy and does not stay put on my waterline. I've even tried dabbing the area with a clean cotton swab prior to applying and that didn't help. Also, if there's even a hint of darker colors on the waterline before you apply (like eyeshadow from smudging the lower lash line) it will cling to that & give you some kind of a smeared out mess...idk how to describe it but it will turn that nude color into a gray-ish color and will make it a pain to come off. This also doesn't stay on the waterline very long. I bought this in hopes of using it to brighten up and open the eyes but the formula just isn't right for me.

I have NEVER loved an pencil/non-liquid eyeliner more than this L.A. Girl one. I have used over a dozen brands, and they either dry out quickly, too watery, smear on my hooded eyes, or just rub off during everyday use. Well, I can say that this does not disappoint. Better than prestige. I wore this eyeliner - only for my waterlines - while I went hiking in humid Hawaii and just in general everyday life. No smudges. Perfect.

I used the product in my waterline, but it had no staying power. Had to reapply twice in one day.

I've tried many other brands, much more expensive than this, but never again. This is inexpensive, long lasting, smudge proof and great color.

To make applying false lashes easier and line up false lashes in a precise manner can be used commonly as stage makeup for men can draw attention to eyes when using eyeshadow they are more expensive than pencil liner feels soft not uncomfortable when applying to eyes

I wanted to try a nude liner on my lower waterline and not spend a lot in case I didn't like the look. I like the look but next time I'll invest in a little better quality liner. I found this to be a little waxy and it doesn't always lay down a nice line.

I bought the dark brown color to wear on my top lid for an every day look that isn't as harsh as black and OMG I am so impressed and happy with the color, the lasting power, how it doesn't smudge or transfer… it's everything I wanted in a liner and for the price, it's the best! I recently bought the bright cream color for my water line and wore it tonight for the first time. It's just as great! Thanks L.A. Girl for such an awesome liner! P.S. I'm probably going to buy the black one tomorrow.

This product is one of 4 other liners I have used that does not smudge. I use Never-ending Navy. I use it by rubbing some on my index and pointer finger and gently patting my brow hairs or gently rub lashes (gently , side to side, not front to back).

The things that are good about the autowear eye liner is that it lasts long. And after many uses, it works and comes off easily.

The color is a gunmetal. Work fast because they dry down fast and make sure the lid is snapped on or it will dry out.

I know the cheap price may throw some off, but this really is one of the best eye liners! It's, obviously, not one that can be sharpened but for the most part it is easy to apply even after multiple uses. This eye liner does not smudge and stays in place!

When opened and rolled up, it broke off, into floor.

When you select the color options and it shows the color in a squiggle, it looks like it's a vibrant, metallic purple. I really liked that because it would have been perfect for my Halloween/October makeup (orange and purple colors) but it's not vibrant nor metallic at all. It's dark and looks more like black then purple.

I was hooked after using this eyeliner for the first time. It goes on smooth and doesn't smudge even with the sun and heat. This is now my go to eyeliner and for the price I'm pretty happy about it.

I use it as an eyeliner

I purchased Navy Eyeliner and I love the color and ease of no sharpener I don't like that pieces broke off after the first use...I feel for the price of the product it shouldn't have any defects as it has.
kiki from boston
i bought totally teal, it's a beautiful shade but the formula is a bit dry and kind of drags on the eye. but it doesn't budge so that's really good

This is my favorite eye liner. I've tried several others, and when I got this one, I bought more colors b/c I liked it so much. What I like is that it glides on so smoothly and easily and also (a personal preference) that it comes out in such a thin line. I feel like a lot of other liners are too dry & you have to pull on your skin to get it to apply. Also, I don't like very bold, obvious eye liner; I just want something subtle to enhance the eyes and give the illusion of thicker lashes. And this does the job! It doesn't smudge too much from what I can tell either. For this price too? This is a slam dunk imo.

It doesn't budge or smudge all day (even while working out) and the price is great BUT it is so thick there is 0 precision. I've started using a combination of this and a liquid fine tip eyeliner to get the right cat eye/dark look but I can't use it by itself.

Goes on smooth, lasts all day, great color

Top and bottom of my eyelids and sometimes I use it to draw my eyebrows with..

I have repurchased several times. One of my favorite non liquid eyeliners. Matte eyeliner. No smudging.
Whit from NC
This eyeliner is great for the price that it is. It stays on all day and doesn't run. It's fairly easy to apply and the pigment is great, also! Definitely worth a try!
Debbie from Lake Worth, FL
This is a very good quality eyeliner that's better than even the higher end liners. Glides on smoothly without tugging and seems to last very well. I'm 54 and I've tried a lot in my day from high end to low end. Plus it's cruelty free which makes it even better!

I have to return this. Just bought it a few days ago, and I have had to throw the pieces that break off away.
