We don't wash our hair every day but when we do, we use a quarter size in our palms, work up a good lather and then apply directly to the scalp to get our hair squeaky clean and rinse all the oils and sand out. Usually, we're good for a few days afterward.

Dried out my scalp
I thought this would be a great product but it dried out my scalp immediately. I started getting flakes and really itchy scalp. Switched back to my regular cheap shampoo and I was fine. Tried SunBum for the weekend and went back to flakes and itch. This is probably fine for someone that deals with a greasy scalp but for someone with normal to sensitive skin - it's no good.

This is the best shampoo for dry hair I have EVER used! The hair is sooo smooth, silky, soft. I am impressed. But the smell, OMG!!! Try it, and thank me latter.
I really wanted to like it…
I have pretty thick wavy hair. I used a handful of shampoo like I do with any other brand and it was semi watery and hard to lather and made my hair really tangled up! I followed with the conditioner which was a nice thick consistency but sadly it did nothing for the tangled mess the shampoo made! I always brush my hair with a wet brush after and it was so hard to get all the tangles out. I'm a huge fan of sunburn and all their products smell amazing but the shampoo/conditioner wasn't for me.
Not my favorite
I wanted to love this shampoo, since I do genuinely love the Sun Bum sunscreens and lip balms. Unfortunately, it just isn't up to the task. It doesn't lather well, thus causing me to use too much for my medium length, thick, fine hair. I don't hate it enough to go through the hassle of returning it, but I certainly won't be buying it again.
