Neutral Warm Olive Tone Review
My skin is a neutral color but with olive overtone. Since being diagnosed with Sjogrens, the sun has darkened my skin and it also pulls a little warm but pink with rosacea. Needless to say it's complicated! Anyway, this was my go to fountain for years. They reformulated and I went over to their creamy version and HATED it because of the flowery smell. This has retained its beautiful lightweight formula and is a bit more hydrating but there are cons! I have mature skin and obviously dry too. The added skin care, while hydrating did cause some itchiness. The added hyaluronic acid can work against dry, Sjögrens skin. So beware! It was a nightmare to find a new color match. I will say I exchanged and returned about 6 bottles before findind a decent match. 345N while neutral pulled greenish grey on me and dulled my complexion though not as much as 350N. After trying several neutrals I must say they were also a bust. I dove into warm territory and while some were definitely too warm, I was pleasantly surpised to find 340W and 240W are absolute dreams on my skin tone. While they are warm toned they are NOT the orange colors of yesterday. 240w pulled a very radiant and pretty neutral beige/ivory with just the right touch of warmth to bring life into my complexion. 340W is the perfect summer shade and it also did not pull too yellow or orange. I will say it does take a few more layers to get it to as full coverage as before reformulation but I can appreciate it is still lightweight and buildable. Be weary of the skin care and setting spray you use with this though. I am unable to use oil based skin care/spf as it completely messes up the foundation.
Not for older skin
Although the sales person said it looked perfect on me , it settled in the lines and turned orange within a few hours . Don't recommend it for aging skin
I wanted to like this
I used this foundation for about 6 months, the bulk of that time was during the summer. It was great when I was first using it during the warmer months. Then as the weather started cooling it started breaking apart on my face every time I used it. It somehow went from looking great to making me look oily and dry at the same time. I found that it clung to my dry patches a lot as well. The oxidization is also... not great. It is also very hard to blend, you have to work very fast as it dries quickly. I'm not sure why it worked well at first and then stopped, so make sure you save the receipt for this one.
I would buy this product again.
Love the feel of it, now heavy at all.
