Is this supposed to be a substitute for the Sunny Vibes texturing spray gel? I've tried using High Tide and it did nothing for my thick wavy hair. I'm so sad that Sunny Vibes has been discontinued and I really need an alternative product that doesn't dry out my hair, isn't sticky and adds volume.

This stuff is truly AWFUL! I have fine hair about to my shoulders. I have a wave pattern but without any product it just falls flat.
