When I got a haircut at Ulta the stylist used this Dyson and I was so impressed with how well it did. I previously owned the pink Dyson dryer (not the nural version) but my hair is fine and a bit dry with color treated ends so those supersonic powerful/forceful hair driers just make my hair too friz...

Garbage
First one stopped working after 1 use. Red and white blinking lights. Sent it to Dyson for a replacement. Second one stopped working after a couple of weeks. Same issue. Dyson customer service was tedious and the for the second replacement, the shipping label they sent was wrong. I give up.

I've had the old style Dyson hair dryer since it was originally released and it served me very well until this year it started acting up and I just knew its time was coming to an end. I went to Ulta to see if they had the "Supersonic r" and of course they did! I diffuse my long, curly hair while it's very wet and this usually takes much time and patience; however, with the new Dyson I'm thinking this process' time was cut by at least 25%… I was pleasantly surprised. For me, it was money WELL spent!

I had the old Supersonic and I loved that but this is next level. My drying time is even less with the R. I also love how lightweight it is.
Absolutely Love It
This is my third Dyson Dryer. I loved both of the past models, but they were heavy & cumbersome to use. This new one is so light & the shape is perfect to hold. The cord with all models is thick & stiff, the only negative there is. I loved this new one
Noticeable lighter weight
This hair dryer is lighter in weight than my other expensive Dyson hair dryer. As others have said, the cool shot button on this hair dryer is in a weird place - I always have to fumble around to find it while drying my hair - the button seems higher than I would naturally expect it to be. Because this hair dryer is SO expensive, I hope it lasts a LONG time. My other Dyson hair dryer would over heat and shut off - other than that, it was fine. I routinely cleaned the filter area on my previous Dyson hair dryer, but I believe] the filter area was the problem with the hair dryer over heating. Hopefully, this version of the Dyson hair dryer is a better design - time will tell.
