Very concentrated, use sparingly. Rub 1-3 drops into hands, then smooth over damp hair for very thick/coarse hair types; use on dry hair as a finisher.

Do you have to use heat with this product ? I am trying to smooth frizz and control puffiness and relax curl (2C- 3A) but I still want loose waves with definition. Will that work? Do i need a leave in beforehand? Can you recommend a leave in (silicone free) to use with this relaxing balm product. Thanks

- Official Answer By Paul MitchellSuper Skinny Relaxing Balm can be used when air drying. It will give stronger results when using heat for styling. If you’d like to add a silicone free leave in, Tea Tree Lavender Mint Taming Cream would be a good choice.Was this answer helpful to you

The previous formula of relaxing balm in different packaging showed it contained some type of amodimethicone. New packaging does not state this anymore. So does the product work differently now that it does NOT contain any silicones to control frizz? What is the ingredient helping with frizz? Please answer the question clearly. Thanks

No, I will not buy this product again
This is my second time trying this product. My hair is coarse and wavy/curly but I prefer my hair straight. I thought this product will really relax my hair, It does speed up dry time but it leaves my hair SO puffy and not shinny. I will not recommend this product unless you want an afro.

Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Relaxing Balm works well on my wavy hair. I apply it to my hair after a shower, blow it dry and it relaxes the massive waves in my hair.
Why the smaller size? Same price?!
This stuff is amazing BUT the new packaging is 2 ounces less than before and the price stayed the same. I feel bamboozled so i took off a star. 2 ounces is a lot of product! Will be looking for another option now.

This product was recommended to me years ago by a hair stylist that made my hair look amazing. I put a little on my fingers and make sure it's evenly coating them, then rub it into my hair at my roots after showering, once my hair is just damp. It helps prevent frizziness. The pump lets out the perfect amount for my scalp. Since you don't have to use much, a bottle lasts you forever. It's definitely worth spending a little extra considering how long it lasts you.
