Start with dry/styled hair. Load up small end of the brush. Pull hair flat and taught against your head, then press brush down firmly into roots, starting from scalp and working out. Do not use sweeping motion. Apply more powder as needed. Use same technique to fill in hairlines or extend highlights.

Yes! Love Color Wow!
VERY pleased with this purchase! Color Wow is effective, easy to apply, and serves two purposes for me. It seems to make thin scalp spots visually disappear into the rest of my hair. And it can cover a few grey hairs in various places. I got two colors because my hair is brown with blonde highlights, and touches of grey.

I use this product in between salon color appointments to cover up my gray roots. I used a spray root cover up product previously which was hard to evenly distribute the color when doing myself along the length of my part when the gray started to show. This is super easy to control and cover evenly along my part and hairline around my face/temples. It also lasts until I wash my hair and does not stain pillow when sleeping. Definitely recommend

This did not seem to adhere to my hair. I went over the area multiple times and could hardly see it. Was hoping it would help to blend the grow out area of my highlights as I couldn't get in to the salon for 2 more weeks.

I have very dark brown hair that is dyed blonde /platinum blonde. In between colorings it can look pretty rough so I have to get colored more often then I would like which can get pretty expensive. However, it's not meant to create a full streak or highlight in the hair.
