New drugstore staple

I'm absolutely shook. I'll be the first to admit I'm a snob with skincare and feel like it should be fancy or expensive to be effective. I know it's not the case, but it's just something that was drilled in my brain. I've never considered purchasing moisturizer from the drugstore because I didn't fe...el like it would have much to offer. I also didn't think it would have the greatest ingredients. I got proven otherwise! After a week of this, my skin is in such a better place 🥲 Florida has been experiencing extra cold weather that my skin has never lived. It's extra dry and my current moisturizer would help for like 4 hours before I'd start feeling the dry skin again. This on the other hand, holy cow! One application in I was converted. My skin stayed plump for 2 whole fricken days! Pros: •hydrates skin back to life •literal visibly plumper skin •actual 48 hour hydration (yes, I tested it and can't believe I actually felt soft moisturized skin on day 2.) •the price point! Anything under $50 for effective skincare is a steal. •accessibility! With so many drug stores and super centers around, I'll always be able to access this which is cool. •consistency is between thin and thick. It holds its shape when scooping and a little goes a long way but it spreads thin. There's a slick to it but it's not oily. •sun protection! It's so so important and spf 30 is great for day to day. Cons: •I broke out after my first application, which was expected since this is new to me, however that one time was it. •the packaging is bulky and heavy. •no spatula! I greatly dislike dipping my fingers in cream and contaminating everything. I have spatulas because of my makeup kit, but it would be nice to have one included. Maybe in the actual design of the lid? That would be thoughtful. I would totally repurchase this and I'm actually going to add it to my kit. I can see this working beautifully to prep dehydrated skin. If you're curious or considering it, I highly recommend. It's definitely worth it.
