However, if you do not have a barrier concern we suggest trying our Matcha Pudding Antioxidant Cream. The texture is a bit lighter and will address your concerns with combination skin. Hello, My skin type is dry and sensitive. I have been dealing with redness and irritation from many different things I have tried. This product has worked great at soothing and removing redness from my skin. Love that! I do find I wake up with my skin feeling a bit dry in the morning. Should I keep using this for a bit until my skin "calms down" and move to a different moisturizer?

Thank you so much for the question - The Rescue Party Comfort Cream is designed to target redness and sensitivity specifically for a variety of skin types. We are so glad it is calming down your skin! We have a couple different suggestions for you and we hope they will guide you into making the best routine for your skin. Option 1 - You can continue using the Comfort cream AM and PM and add in our Super Oasis Concentrated Serum. This serum has 14.5% glycerin which adds to barrier repair and is clinically proven to provide 100 hours of hydration along with replenishing aquaporins in the skin. This can allow you to continue to use Comfort Cream and address additional dryness. Please note you can use Super Oasis along with other treatment serums you may use. We suggest doing your treatment serum first and then Super Oasis before moisturizer. Option 2 - You can use Comfort Cream during the day and use our Ultra Plush Rich Cream, this will offer some barrier support but focuses more on repairing dryer skin. A 3rd option is to Use our Rescue Party Barrier Repair Serum for deeper barrier repair as it is the companion to the Comfort Cream and use the Ultra Plush Rich Cream over the top, which will address your concerns for calming and address hydration for your dryer skin. Hello, I purchased this cream and had been using it. I noticed an off smell, like talk and old. Is it possible that I purchased a bad batch or is this how the cream is supposed to smell?

Since we are a fragrance free brand there is nothing "masking" these natural smells, like they can be in other products. As a result some people may perceive these smells more than others. The Rescue Party Comfort Cream is a newer product for us and has a shelf life that lasts for 12 months after opening the jar, as indicated by the "12" icon on the side of the box with our list of "Nos". Saved my skin!
I have super reactive, sensitive skin. I was having a flare up from something and was getting desperate. I came across this moisturizer online when I remembered that I had a sample of this from a previous order. I figured my face is already freaking out so if it doesn't work it won't be much worse.....

Smells so bad like it already expired then add 1yr to that
I cannot get past the smell. It smells like product that went bad, plastic, chemical, and just old and gross. Did P&L quality control miss something?
Doesn't seem good for dry barrier compromised skin
I dont have very senstive skin but i had a reaction to anothet product that caused my skin to become flaky and very dehydrated. Since this was advertised as something to restore skin barriers and comfort the skin, i busted it out. Boy, it doesn't comfort my skin at all. It makes my skin sting and red, while not being moisturizing. It also has a smell that smells as though it went bad…very plasticky smell that is heavy. I'll be using the rest of the product on my body as it does nothing for my skin and smells horrible.
The ONE for dehydrated skin
Let's get the smell out of the way: it actually reminds me of clay masks. But it's not like I can smell it more than 3 minutes after applying, so even if I didn't like it (I don't mind it), it wouldn't matter too much. More importantly, this stuff has SAVED my skin. I had tried so many creams and yet every time I would put on makeup, the little dry flakey patches on my forehead would be highlighted. After using this only a couple of times I noticed I stopped seeing those patches. It feels really thick and soothing but it doesn't sit annoyingly on top of my skin. I've used it after IPL and felt not even a ghost of a sting. It helped me heal quickly after spending too long in the sun. Seriously if you have dehydrated skin issues or need a bump of soothing, gentle care this is your cream. If I had a gripe I guess it would be that I wish it came with more product for the price. But it lasts longer for me because I only use it at night.
Great texture but it broke me out
I purchased this when looking for a creamy moisturizer to help battle the dry winter air. I do like the texture but it did make me break out. It does smell a tad funky - reminded me of rancid oil similar to expired essential oils or nuts - but it's not too strong to be a deal breaker. I'll use it as a hand cream to finish the jar.
Incredible
This has transformed my skin for the better. It has significantly helped the texture and my rosacea. The smell just smells like unscented cream and is unoticeable once you apply it.
