I have fine hair and have been using Paul Mitchell Thicken Up for years with good results. It has been harder to find lately, and I was considering trying Quick Slip instead. Will this product add body without weight like Thicken Up or are they very different products? Thank you!
Asked by Jessica
Official Answer By Paul Mitchell
Quick slip does not give the volume and body that thicken up does. They are completely different products. Quick Slip gives soft texture and faster styling. Was this answer helpful to you

Does this product provide hold for sleek hairstyles?
Asked by Celious

Quick Slip provides flexible hold, adds definition while softening hair. For sleek styles I would suggest finishing with Gloss Drops or Tea Tree Grooming Pomade. Was this answer helpful to you

Q
I noticed by comments that many are under the impression that this is also a thermal heat protectant. I can't find anywhere that states that, I only see the following: shields vulnerable strands from the sun's harmful rays. I have used and loved this product in the past and would absolutely love if it also protects against thermal/hot tool damage but since I didn't see that, I want to get clarification. Thank you JonMarie

Thank you JonMarie! Quick Slip is not a heat protector. Was this answer helpful to you

Paul Mitchell Fast Form & Quick Slip. I previously asked which was best for fine straight hair & the only answer was that both are okay for straight hair. Not much help so I'll try again. What is the difference in Fast Form & Quick Slip? Which is best for adding body (don't need to smooth friz).

This product has been a long time favorite !

I started using this product back in 2011 when a hair stylist turned me on to it. She used it in my hair and my blowout lasted 5 days, so I purchased it for myself. This product does everything it says:smooths frizz, decreases drying time, protects against heat, adds soft texture, and gives your hai...

Not sure what this stuff is

I wasnt sure what to expect purchasing this. Its a styling cream but the directions for use are vague. I tried it and it left my hair part frizzy, part flat. Maybe its for use after styling to set the style? Who knows.

I have been trying to find a hair cream since Paul Mitchell stopped making the Velvet cream. This product is a good substitute for the velvet cream. It is very light going on and works well.

I use this daily on my medium, color treated/damaged, oily-rooted hair which is down to my mid-back. Normally I have tons of flyaways all toward my roots and down my hair shaft. With Quick Slip, I use 2 pumps and disperse with my fingers before blow drying. I LOVE IT!!! It's better & cheaper than the Kenra cream I was previously using (also scent isn't overpowering!) I absolutely adore this product and hope its never discontinued! Leaves my damaged gair smoother and more manageable with less blowdry time. (I use with Redken All Soft shampoo & conditioner). The ONLY way it could improve is if a heat protectant was added. Love love love this styling cream!!

I've been using this product for years. Right after washing my hair, I put a dime size in the palm of my hand and massage it in my damp hair and comb it through. I just this this product and never use cream rinse.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
