Apply generously to wet hair, massage into a lather with focus on the scalp for 1 minute. Rinse thoroughly. After shampooing, follow with conditioner. For extra purifying treatment leave on scalp for up to 5 minutes once a week.

The bottle claims that it gently exfoliates and removes build up and I could really feel how clean my hair felt after using the shampoo. The scent of the shampoo is nice and calming.

I guess that means it helps to reduce buildup and I believe I am getting a little less breakage but I am still losing hair and not seeing much difference in growth. The lather is amazing though! There isn't much discomfort or itchiness on my scalp but I don't think I'll be purchasing this shampoo again and would prefer some of the other shampoo products I have used.
