I was given this hair tool to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, which was perfect timing because I have been in the market for a new straightener. This straightener has an easy on/off switch, temp controls, and I love that it turns green when it is hot. The plates were smooth, and I only needed to pass my hair through one time in order to straighten and smooth it. It took about 15 minutes to straighten all of my hair, and it was so smooth after. This is a great straightener, and I will continue to use it in my hair styling rotation!

My mom has the same one and its great. So i bought it and i hate it. It pulls my hair out and it hurts. Plus the screen came defective. It makes my hair straight but it hurts to use and it sounds like its crunching my hair and its gonna fall off. Dont buy this.

I have really curly hair, so I am very selective with my straighteners. The packaging was nice and very professional looking. The overall look of the straightener is very sleek. It was easy to use. I appreciated how fast the straightener heated up. My hair slid through the plates easily without any snags. Because I have naturally very curly hair, I had to do between 2-4 passes in my hair, but that is normal for me with any straightener. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this hair tool. It will continue to be a part of my hair tool rotation.

I was very, very unimpressed. It did nothing at all for my hair. It was still frizzy and it also was not straight at all. I would have returned it if I had not already thrown the box away. 10/10 Wouk not purchase again, nor will I recommend it to any friends.

Im pretty surprised by the low reviews. I love this straightener! I recently took a lot of length off my hair (now chin length) and wanted to pick up a new straightener for sleek straight styles. I've previously been a brand loyalist to Chi straighteners but I've been wearing my hair curled using my T3 curling irons for the past couple of years. I hadn't replaced my last straightener after it died. I saw this at Ulta today and decided to pick it up on a whim. I read some of the reviews when I got home and wondered if I made a mistake. I plugged it in anyway and gave it a trial run on my naturally wavy air dried hair. I think it does a great job. I found the on/off and temp controls easy to use and intuitive without reading the instructions. I saw a few reviews note that it snags your hair. I didn't have this issue. If you position your hair correctly between the plates and use the right pressure it shouldn't snag. I think some of the reviewers might be having a technique problem instead of a product problem. I will say - if you're looking for a multi styling tool - this might not be what you need. The plates are flat so it isn't the best straightener to use for curling. I want to use it for straightening so that's not an issue for me. I also really like how lightweight and compact it is. It has a nice sleek style and will be great for traveling. This will be my new go-to hot tool for work travel to conferences and meetings. My only suggestion for Hot Tools would be to consider adding a clip to lock the plates together to figure versions. I would like it even more for travel if it had a lock feature. Overall a great product at the price point in my opinion. For reference I have quite fine hair but a TON of it. Very thick with a naturally wavy texture. I have natural dirty blonde hair but and get a full head of highlights to bring it bright blonde.
