Twist up until tip is level with clear protective tubing & stop right there. (Exposing the tip too much may cause it to break!) Then, apply with light, gentle strokes in the direction of your natural hair growth. Blend with spoolie.

LOVE IT - but you have to use it properly
I need this micro pencil every day to draw lifelike hair strokes on my brows. I can get a nice, thin line with this that I can't achieve with the thicker "precisely my brow" pencil. But you have to use this properly so it doesn't break off. DO NOT EXTEND THE TIP PAST THE PLASTIC! When you use it this way, it will not break. The only downside for me: I touch my eyes and face a lot during the day and the pencil strokes will brush off easily in my opinion. I wish these didn't smudge or budge. Also - I go through a micro pencil in about 4-6 weeks, so wish they lasted longer for the price.

Keeps breaking
Dispute the plastic guard at the tip, how minimally I advance the pencil or how gently I apply it the tip of the pencil breaks off and lodged in my brow hairs. Frustratingly wasteful of time and money. Returning this product
Didn't last long, breaks
The only thing I can say is that I would not buy this again. I'll stick with the precisley brow that I've been using for years with no issue. If it ain't broke don't fix it is so very true!

I have fuller brows with several sparse areas and this is the perfect pencil to fill in those areas while maintaining a natural look. I have brown eyebrows and got shade 5 and it is perfect.
