I'm in New Mexico, spend a lot of time in the sun and need SPF protection. I also wear makeup or at least tinted moisturizer so a primer is a must. This combines both and gives me everything I need. It's lightweight, lasts all day and gives a great base for makeup.

I've been using the Smashbox SPF Primer in the mornings as part of my routine, and I really love it. I've always been a fan of Smashbox (their Photo Finish primer is my OG), so I was excited to try this one. It applies like a lightweight cream and melts into my skin instead of sitting on top. It feels silky and moisturizing without being greasy, and I didn't experience any pilling. I also love that it doesn't leave a white cast like some SPF products can. I have combination skin (oily in the T-zone with some dry areas), and this worked really well for me without any irritation. It layers nicely with my skincare and wears beautifully under makeup. I received this product for free from Smashbox for testing and review purposes. That being said, I've actually been a longtime user of Smashbox primers. I'm always going to love the OG, but as I started getting older I started prioritizing sun care. This primer combines the best part of the OG with spf, a perfect match! It does have the spa smell but that doesn't bother me. The texture is similar and doesn't make me feel greasy. There was no whitecast which was also a huge plus!
