Summary
Personal Microderm Pro is a revolutionary at-home device providing the same brilliant results as professional, in-office microdermabrasion treatments.
Features
- Power of Exfoliation: Patented Spinning Discs embedded with aluminum oxide crystals exfoliate away dead, dull cells from the surface of the skin. By removing this dead skin cell barrier, new cell growth is stimulated and glowing youthful skin is revealed.
- Strength of Suction: Perfectly Calibrated Vacuum Suction is the power behind effective microdermabrasion. Suction increases circulation and triggers the skin's natural healing process which boosts collagen and elastin leaving skin firm, fresh and radiant.
- Beauty of Absorption: Personal Microderm removes the top layer of dead, dull skin cells. Once this barrier is removed, skin care products can penetrate 20X deeper maximizing the benefits of skin care.
- Diminishes the appearance of fine-lines & wrinkles.

- Diminishes the appearance of blemishes.

Prior to using the PMD, it is important to thoroughly cleanse the skin, making sure that it is free from all make up, dirt, and oils. Once the skin is clean, allow it to dry completely before you begin.
Before using the tool on your face, practice on your arm and on your neck. These areas are not as sensitive as the face and will allow you to get used to motion and the way a treatment is performed.
Use the white disc first. This disc is our most sensitive disc. It is important to see how your skin responds to this disc before moving on to more abrasive discs.
After you have tested the unit on your arm and/or neck and feel ready to move on to your face, use a free hand to pull the skin tight in the treatment area and continue to move the PMD Personal Microderm in an upward motion across the skin. Do not make more than two passes over one area during the treatment.
Following the treatment, use a toner to neutralize the ph balance in the skin and a recovery moisturizer.
After each use, clean the cap and the disc with rubbing alcohol or an antibacterial soap.
Wait 6-7 days between treatments.
See manual and DVD included for detailed directions.
Precautions: The Personal Microderm should only be used once a week. Microderm removes the top layer of dead dull skin and your body needs one week to rejuvenate. Be patient. Use it consistently and you will see results. Anyone using chemical peels or products containing acids including hydroxy acids, malic acid, lactic acid AND/OR retinoids or retin A ingredients, must not use the Personal Microderm at the same time! This may cause skin to be too sensitive and use of the Personal Microderm is not recommended. Before it is safe to use the Personal Microderm, you must discontinue use of these products for at least seven days. Consult your doctor or dermatologist if you are unsure that the Personal Microderm is suitable for your skin.

- Q
Has anyone tried this on your feet, primarily the heel area?
- Asked by Trying2AgeGracefully
- Official Answer By PMD - Brand EngageThe Personal Microderm can be used on your feet, and on the heels. It is a little harder to get the needed suction since there isn't a lot of give in the skin on the feet/heels, but if the area is hard and calloused, you may want to remove the cap and just use the body disc directly on the heel area without the suction. Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
How to remove disc
- Asked by Carol
- Official Answer By PMD - Brand EngageThe white disc can be difficult to get off--but the other discs are not. You will need to lift it straight up off the metal rod. If you have having difficulty pulling it off, you may want to use some pliers--perhaps needle nose pliers to provide leverage so that you can grasp the disc with the pliers and then use your strength to pull the disc up.Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
Should you dermaplane before or after using this product?
- Asked by Sav
- Official Answer By PMD - Brand EngageDermaplanning should be done before microdermabrasion, but never on the same day. There should be a minimum wait of 48 hours in between the treatments, ideally a week between them would be best. Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
What is the difference between this and the elite pro?
- Asked by Bellesita
- Official Answer By PMD - Brand EngageThe Microderm Pro is corded, so it must be plugged into an electrical outlet during use. It has two speeds--low and high that affect how quickly the disc rotates. This comes with a total of 9 discs. The Elite Pro is chargeable. It has three settings, low, medium and high. These settings affect both the speed of the disc rotation as well as the strength of the suction. The Elite comes with a total of 11 discs and comes with a case that holds everything in one place. Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
Will this help with dark spots?
- Asked by Theresa
- Official Answer By PMD - Brand EngageMicrodermabrasion can definitely help to decrease the appearance of dark spots on the skin. However, it is not a miracle worker and will take time. You may begin to see the dark spots decrease in appearance within about 6 month, and continue to fade further with continued use.Was this answer helpful to you
- Q

Will this remove Fordyce spots down under?
- Asked by Beauty Buff
- Official Answer By PMD - Brand EngageFordyce spots usually need to be treated by laser to reset the oil glands and regulate their production. Exfoliation can help minimize the texture from them but it could also trigger oil production. If the Fordyce spots are severe we would recommend speaking or consulting with a medical provider in regard to the use of the Microderm. Was this answer helpful to you

Hi, My nighttime routines includes putting eye cream around my eyes that have retinol in it and retinol cream on my forehead and neck. If I do that eveynight, does that mean I should not use this product on my face? Will my face be too sensitive for this product? I don't want to have to discontinue the cream to use this product if possible. Is there a solution?
- Asked by Facial queen
- Official Answer By PMD - Brand EngageSince retinol can make your skin more sensitive, you may not want to use the Personal Microderm within 24-48 hours of using the retinol products. If you find that at 48 hours your skin isn't overly irritated, you can move that time closer together. This is all based upon what you skin can and cannot tolerate. Was this answer helpful to you

- Asked by Migs
- Official Answer By PMD - Brand EngageYou can share this with others--especially since the other individual(s) using this may not have the same skin type, so you could be on different disc colors. Smooth Face = Better Makeup Application
First and foremost, follow the directions. You are not a special snowflake, the rules apply to everyone. Don't risk damaging your face. Follow the healing period recommendations. After a few uses, I really noticed a difference in the texture of my face. When your skin looks better, ultimately your m...

If I could give no stars, I would
I have been into skincare since I was a teen (I'm 49 now). I've always been told that I have beautiful skin. I don't know what made me think that this would improve it. I use chemical exfoliants (prescription retinoids, AHA/BHA from Paula's Choice, a new one with AHA/BHA/PHA) and my skin is smooth...

Breaks every time
I purchased this twice. It works the first time you use each color tip but the top of the tip wears the first use and even worst the bottom of the tip which had a square insted wears down on your 2nd-3rd use making it no longer stay on the machine and keeps just falling out because its plastic. This design is terrible and a waste of money and not worth the price. Mad because if made better and had better tips it would have been convienent because you can take it anywhere but its 2 thumbs down
Effective
Impressed with the product performance - multiple head sizes, adjustable sunction, not overly aggressive and super effective. Happy with my purchase, but wished that Ulta sold the replacement heads.
I wanted to love it but ended up hating it
I got this last year and used it a handful of times. I tried different techniques but it ALWAYS damaged my skin. I get microdermabrasion facials every other month and am a licensed esthetician for almost 10 years. This product is garbage and should be illegal to sell. I never leave negative reviews but the last time inused it, I had red holes all over my face.

This is an amazing device. At first I was skeptical but after trying it and allowed my face to heal I got the same results from the dermatologist office that does different types of facials so this pays for itself
